    Hi all

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine today. Its very hot but I shouldn't complain as it never lasts too long eh.

Have been looking at my figures again (my money not my oversized body :rotfl:) sorry, well I thought it was funny :p

Just mooching around on this site to soak up some much needed motivation as I seem to be in a 'oh well lets buy it' frame of mind the last few days  (maybe because friends have jetted off to somewhere nice) I have come so close to booking up somewhere knowing full well I cant afford it. (kicks self up the back side)

Have begun to look at overall figures again and need to stop it. I need to get my small goal into my head again and stick with it.

I have a monthly CC statement about to come in and maybe when I pay it may give me a bit of a boost.

As for spending I have splashed out on a tower fan for my suffering pooch. He hates the heat and spends the day and night panting and constantly trying to get comfortable. It was however only £8.75 :) What a bargain.

Need to read some positive diaries on here before I do something silly :o

Edit: just read my previous post and realised that my upbeat positive frame of mind didn't last long did it

    Hi all,

Have been a bit AWOL again but have good reason. I have, after a lot of toing and froing decided to bite the bullet and decorate my lounge.
I say I as OH tends to just supervise

You know when something seems like a good idea at the time :o (Wish I never started).

Anyway it will be done by the weekend (hopefully) and has worked out a lot cheaper than I expected. It has just been a case of a re wallpaper (not an expensive one) A touch up of the paintwork which I already had. I have kept to the same ish colour scheme so as not having to replace picture frames, curtains, cushions etc. It is just a tidy up of the room.

Not one thing was bought on a Credit Card :T

I could've quite easily have said oh well lets go the full hog. I didn't, and am quite proud of myself for that.

I have just made my CC payment for this month with a small overpayment too. All DDs and bills are paid so I haven't caused any damage financially. Myself and OH even managed to pop out for a sit in Indian meal the other evening. Well we do like to live the high life :rotfl:

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine

  • Hello Diary world

I have some free time on my hands :j

After decorating my lounge I finally have time to update my diary properly.

Well in the 12 month household the finances have been jiggled again :o

I currently have offers on my CCs and have decided to transfer a chunk of it around. I have moved a large chunk from my MBNA to my BC on fee free transfer but intend to move it straight back as MBNA are offering 4.9% for the life of balance with no transfer fee. Thus giving me a higher amount to transfer back for the offer.

The BC only has a slightly higher offer for a smaller amount of time.

The reason I have done this is because the % I currently have on the card is about to expire ( I think) :o I need to keep my interest at zero or at least as low as possible.

I have transferred balances a lot over time and to be honest I am a little confused as to what debt percentages are where and how long they have left remaining etc. . Hence why I am so confused over it all.

I have continued to make overpayments and have discovered PADding and I like it :)

I aim to make regular payments from rounding down accounts etc to one card however small they may be. Every little helps.

All very confusing I know, sorry :o

Anyway I am still making a dent in my debt and have increased my target for my PDBX :D

I am adding everything I pay to this which includes loan payments as well and add these to my target as it makes a huge difference to my motivation to see how it is mounting up and my overall total coming down.

Sorry for the long winded random post only I suddenly feel extra motivated at the moment. I have played around (again) with the snowball calculator and it looks like I could be CC free approx. 15 months earlier than I would be now.

It seems that the 4.9% offer will make a big difference.

Once the transfers and card balances have all updated I will then do a proper snowball and will have a more accurate CC free date :)

If you are still awake after reading this I hope you are all well :rotfl:
