    Thanks Doris

I work in a school so I have no choice

I may just see if I can put a little by here and there and take it from there.

It just feels like every penny we have goes towards debt. I know its our own fault but My sealed pot is going so well its made me think that its doable. we'll see eh

You also seem very positive and motivated right now. Keep going

I'm sure you will find a fab affordable holiday 12MC. Didn't realise you worked in a school, envy the holidays, not working with the children, no patience. :(
My motivation is only because I have been very naughty and slipped big time. :(

Have looked at CCs and have worked out that since my light bulb moment in August 2015 I have paid off £8,079.83 from them :T

Still such a long way to go but at least I can see that I am making a difference however small or however slowly.

Back in August I was in over £33,000 in CCs I am now at £25,116.04:eek:
Will I ever see and end to them

I have, however managed to save an emergency fund and have been squirrelling money away for Xmas.

My bills and monthly payments are also all up to date with no CCJs, late payments etc.

I have been doing surveys also and have 4150/5000 points. I will be reaching my £50 soon I hope

Excuse the very random post only, was feeling a little unmotivated and :( I just needed to see that I am actually making progress and I WILL get there one day.

Understand exactly Doris. I have given myself a stern talking to and need to now move forward and stop moaning about it all and get on with it :D

You are doing amazingly well. Seriously, I am really impressed. You're paying off your debts, saving some money and haven't got into more debt.
Please take the credit for it :A

    Thanks Bear I will :)

I am going to keep posting on my progress whatever amount it is.

I am still snowballing and its that that has helped so much. I am a little ahead of schedule too and aim to bring it forward even more. Fingers crossed.

I am due some more overtime money this month which always helps.

As for the holiday I will try to save a little at a time but not bust a gut over it. Its not a priority and when I have saved enough we will enjoy a nice holiday that we have saved up for. :)

Holidays - actually anything - are much better when you've paid for them not got into debt for them. I know :)

  • Hi all

Absolutely pouring with rain today

Have made my monthly payment to one CC today. Quite a big overpayment as well.
Payday this week but managed to pay it out of what I have and will put it back on payday ready to go towards next months :)

My pay debt by Xmas challenge is going very well. I will definitely reach my target and its feels good

Was very disciplined this morning. I was writing a shopping list and before I left I decided to pull everything out of the cupboards to check. I had to cross three things off my list as I already had them in there :o . Saving myself some money.

Still trying to get the hang of this shopping lark :rotfl:

I have also been surveying and now have 4250/5000 points. I will get my £50 soon. :D:

I still have such a long way to go but at least I'm out the starting blocks.

Will keep plugging away slowly but surely.

Your total is coming down nicely. Well done to you. :T
