:j. It's the weekend again :j
Hope you are all well.
Update: have made another payment to CC 2 with a small overpayment so that's both of them done again for another month.
The snowball calculator is what is really working for me so far. It's helping me keep track and also keeping me motivated.
Must be very careful with weekly shop this week.
I MUST NOT OVERSPEND AND BUY GROCERIES I DO NOT NEED.
Will write my shopping list in a while and make sure I stick with it and not be tempted to buy things for just in case purposes. I was very good at this for a while but have let things slip.
Feeling positive at the moment

Good to hear you're feeling positive
Enjoy your weekend :T0 -
Hi diary world
Nothing too exciting to report this week so far. June tomorrow  where did the last 5 months go?
Anyway I managed to keep below my shopping budget this week. Had to pop into the shop again today for a couple of bits that I didn't realise we had run out of. (shopping list malfunction)
I didn't even use a basket so I wasn't tempted to buy any unnecessary items. I can only carry so much in my short arms so it worked.
The weather has been horrendous today. Rain, windy and blooming cold all day
 at the news at the poor little boy tortured and murdered by the very people he should trust and be loved and protected by
Give me 10 minutes in a room with them. Save the justice system lots of money I would.
Sorry rant over I am just horrified and sick to the stomach.

Hi Doris
You're right about Xmas coming round again  I have been putting bits of money into a sealed pot and will open it at the beginning of November. I am hoping to be able to do all of my Christmas with what's in there when I open it. So no Credit Cards. (fingers crossed)
I have had a couple of setbacks along the way and have neglected my diary at times. I think life in general gets in the way.
My 'pay debt by Xmas' challenge is going well. The £9,000 target I set myself will no way clear my overall debt total but to see how much I am paying off is a great motivator. When I reach that target I will set myself a new one and so on.
One day I will get there, just not this day :rotfl:

Sealed pot for xmas is my plan too, you're doing so well just keep chipping away and it'll be gone before you know it2025 in 2025- 2027/2025

My sealed pot actually keeps me focussed. When I have any £1 or £2 coins I tend to want to hang onto them for my pot.
I never usually save for Xmas so it will be interesting to see how much I can actually accumulate until November.
Good luck with your potting alsoSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

:hello: Hi all
At last the sun is shining. Its been like winter here. What happened to flaming June as the saying goes.
Anyway I have been potting away, adding small amounts to my sealed pot ready for November where I aim to be able to tackle all of my Xmas in one swoop.
10 days until payday which makes more payments going towards my debt total. May even be able to make a couple of smaller overpayments before then too.
Another plan I have is to try and save for a holiday next year  I know I shouldn't even be thinking about this but would dearly love something nice to look forward to apart from debt.
I need to do another budget and hopefully will be able to add a little extra to it for a holiday fund. Nothing too extravagant, just a week away in the sunshine. I want to be able to book and pay for it all out of saved money and not CCs which I have done in the past
I have offers on my CCs and need to look at these also to see if I can make my debt free journey a little easier. Will spend some time this afternoon looking into it.
Will update later on my progress.
I hope the sun is shining where you are too

Sun is shining here.
well done on your progress so far, you are doing so well. Holidays need not be expensive as long as it not in term time, then you are talking silly money.

Thanks Doris
I work in a school so I have no choice
I may just see if I can put a little by here and there and take it from there.
It just feels like every penny we have goes towards debt. I know its our own fault but My sealed pot is going so well its made me think that its doable. we'll see eh
You also seem very positive and motivated right now. Keep going
