Not too sure where this money is heading but it will definitely go to a good cause. Xmas maybeSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Hi all
Not a good weekend  Not too much damage done on the spending front. However I have had a major look at my debts (again) and have decided to update signature with the full extent of the damage I have done over the years
I think that by seeing it in black and white it will help me stay on the straight and narrow.
OMG how on earth have I managed to do this :mad:
Utterly fed up and tempted to put my big fat head back in the sandSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Well all I have to say is do not under any circumstances put your head back in the sand. Bury it under the duvet for 24 hours maybe, but definitely not in the sand. Actually nothing has changed, just the number, so you just carry on as you were and deal with it as you were doing. So business as usual then.0

Thank you Patanne
I know you are so right.
I have to keep going and I also have 2 more CC statements due in the next week or so. This will lower the total a little again.
This debt busting makes my mood go up and down like no ones business.
Thank you again

Hiya love :hello:
Sorry to hear you're feeling fed up, it's bladdy rollercoaster of emotions this debt busting!!! Please whatever you do do NOT stick your head in the sand.
As far as I'm concerned there's no going back now, how can there be? I far too aware of everything now, how could I go back to mindless spending knowing what I know? How can I not put money aside for bills that I know are coming? How could I not check my bank allowing myself to go into my overdraft and get charged £1 a day for using it.
I couldn't and you can't either we are in this for the long haul :A
You have inspired me to update my signature too. I know how you feel, I also feel so mad with myself for building up all this debt but it's done now isn't it. We can't change what's done but we are doing something about it now and that's the main thing.
There are people on this board with less debt than us, people with more, people with no debt but one thing is for sure we're not the only ones. Before I joined this board I felt like the only person in the world in this position. After reading all the posts on here I realise it's so common and probably ppl who I know in my life are possibly in similar situations to me but because debt is one of those taboo subjects we don't really know so just assume they're not.
Thank god for these boards!!!
Hope you're feeling a little better tomorrow, you have already made so much difference in such a short space of time! I notice you're nearly half way to your EF total wow well done that's some achievement already!!!! How did you do that so quick? I've £27 in minebut if a feeble effort but if it wasn't for you I'd have a big fat ZERO EF.
Lots of Debt Busting Love xxx0 -
 Hiya all
Thank you Pops for you kind and encouraging words. :A
I flatly refuse to put my head back in the sand, what was I thinking.
Anyway I have just made an extra payment to my target CC to the sum of £3.08 I have never done this and had a sly chuckle to myself at the cheek of itI rounded down my account and thought why not.
Pops you are doing so well and are so positive keep it up.
Believe it or not I have been sorting out my sisters CCs. She managed to pay her statement 1 day late and incurred a £12 late fee and lost her 0% deal.. However we managed to shift the balance onto another 0% card. Phew I have actually given advice that I have learned on here
Maybe I am heading in the right direction after all :T

Hiya :hello: pleased to hear you're in better spirits. So glad you never put your head back in the sand.

I'm feeling much more in control but still sad I can't pay more onto my debts ha!
Looking into the new year for a new higher paid job (fingers crossed)0 -
OMG what a lovely boost that would be for you to get a better paid job..
Imagine a new year, new start. I have everything crossed for you.
I also wish I could pay more but it is what it is and so I need to keep chipping away.
Our DFDs are only a few months apart so we will head for the lights at then end of our tunnels and help each other over the finish line. Just like the London Marathon runners do. :T

Thank you I really hope I can make it happen!
My plan is if I can secure a higher paid job anything I earn above what I'm earning now will be ploughed into my debt so I can reduce it as quick as possible!
Oh yey!! That's great, well you've been a huge support to me so far thank you so let's keep going and helping each other along the way :beer:0 -
:hello: Hi all
Just a little update. Not too much exciting news today only that I am still debt busting and planning for a bright new future
DEBT FREE :T (one day)
I am tackling my CCs with my snowball payments but also have a couple of loans that were for 48 payments . They are now down to 21 and 37 payments left :T ( thought that consolidating would solve all my problems) How wrong
These are paid monthly on the day I get paid so I don't really miss it.
I don't add this to my overall debt total as I cant bare to see the amount
I am tackling the dreaded CCs.
When my debt free day arrives in August 2019 I will be clear of everything.
Hopefully my DFD will be sooner as when one loan ends after 21 payments I will add this money to my snowball payments and bring it forward :T
However I refuse to let it get me down any longer and look at it like this:- My bills are paid
- We have warmth
- We have food
- We have a roof over our heads
- We are all working
- We are all healthy
I do apologise for a very random post only I needed to write it down to emphasise to myself how lucky I am as opposed to the people and the events in Paris right now.
God bless them
