  • Weekend is here :j:j

    Hi all and happy weekend

Budget done for the week and lots of rounding down accounts today. Managed to add a couple of payments to EF. :T
My £1 per day has also gone into my EF account.
I actually forgot that I had set up a standing order for £7 to go into it every Friday.

Actually looking forward to next weekend and my pay day so I can start my snowball payments again for this month. Around the time I get paid my CC statements start to come in so I have the funds there ready as soon as they arrive.
That way it gives me another full month to keep squirrelling more pennies into my snowball account as I call it.

Fingers crossed I may have a little extra as I am due some extra money this month.

Hope everyone is upbeat and plugging away on their journeys :)

    :)

  • Have had a couple of ups and downs this weekend. :(

One minute I am so up and the next I feel so down and snowed under.

I very nearly fell off the debt busting wagon and did my Christmas shopping on a CC

I don't know what came over me as I have been so organised and even managed to get a couple of presents without the cards.

I think I am just panicking a little as everyone around me is so organised for Xmas and I thought (only for a while) well if I just sort out my presents and I will pay it back. This is one of the reasons I am on here.

I even looked at moving balances around thinking I will have 3 cards instead of 4. Stupidly this would have increased instead of decreasing the total. Luckily I managed to put the kettle on, make a drink and think before I jumped in feet first.

Pay day is this week so I will be sorting my snowball payments out for my statements when they arrive within the next couple of weeks.

    I have made £55.70 in ebay sales so that's a bonus :T

I cant seem to get the overall total of my debt out of my head and that's what is so overwhelming

Sorry for the miserable post people just needed to clear my head a little.

    Big hugs!!! :grouphug:
I think you need to recognise what a huge achievement not using your cc for Christmas purchases! I bet a few months ago you wouldn't have thought twice about that so huge well done!!!!

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
12 month - I know how you feel. I have felt very up and down about progress this month. I can't believe another year is almost done and I am still here! But then I think, well look what I have achieved this year and where would I be if I hadn't dedicated myself to keeping on the straight and narrow coming here each day.

It's natural to want to be sorted for xmas. The ads are starting the shops are playing xmas music. But it is just 1 day out of 365 after all. And spending as little as you can will help you overall.

Sorry trying to be helpful but please don't feel you can't rant if you need to. It's your diary after all.

    Good luck this week.

  • Hello!

I hear ya! Sometimes I look at these big amounts I'm sending to the debt and get really down as I could be doing something wonderful with the money. But the debt is all my doing!

  • Hi Bob and Fuzzy and thank you

I have been a lot more positive today and am thinking of ways to juggle cash around for Xmas.. SOOOOO Glad I didn't crumble and go out panic buying on CC :) Although I don't have too much to buy so I shouldn't be stressing at all really (Old habits die hard)

    Keep plugging :T

Hi 12 month :hello: hope you're feeling brother? Can I ask which survey you have made £2.50 on? I'm doing a few at the min but don't seem to be getting far. I quite like Toluna but you get points and you need a lot of points (say 40000) to make decent prizes.
I quite like GFK media too but again they're points then they put you into a prize draw so no pennies for me yet lol. x
