Hi 12MC, just catching up with your diary as I've hardly been online all week, I can definitely understand where you're coming from when you express your frustrations. Sometimes it feels we'll all be posting on here for ever and ever wishing for our DFD's! :rotfl: But it's great to see how reinvigorated you are, and I'm now going to steal your idea of rounding accounts down and transferring the pennies to savings, something I'd not thought of before, so thank you! :money:
  • Hi Bob, Orange and ICC welcome aboard the debt busting conga.

:dance:Lets all do the conga and save up all our wonga la la la la:dance:

Thank you for all the positive comments it really helps.

I also love reading peoples signatures and seeing all the debt they have managed to pay off.

Another small sale on ebay grand total at the moment £13.50 :T

ICC I stole the rounding down accounts idea from someone else so go for it. I transfer small amounts and it soon mounts up.

  • Nothing too exciting to add today. But have plenty of watchers on eBay listings.

Went to the dogs last night and OH went a little over the top with the spends

Its done now and have to keep positive. It doesn't hurt to have a night out now and again I suppose

    Not too much damage done

It absolutely doesn't hurt to have a night out every now and then.

Me & my bf went out on the town last night. Spur of the moment decision and we spent a little bit too much on our outfits and drinks, but at the end of the day, we don't do it very often and we had a great night. We could've spent more but we made sure we went into places before the free entry cut off point and got our stamps to reenter. And was also given a free entry ticket by a stranger to enter a club that had an hour's queue to get in. So sort of money saving haha.

    Did you pick many winners?
    Debts (as of 28/10/15)
    Mum: Start £3426.00 Now £2655.00 22.5% Car (on finance): Start 13823.60 Now £8728.59 36.85%
    Current Debt Free Day: 12/1/2019

    Goals:
    £2000 emergency fund £800/£2000 40%
    £5000 House Deposit £62.09/£5000 1.24%
Car Finance Settlement Fee As of 28/10/15 £0.00/£7152.18 0%
  • I agree about having some fun time now and again. The more I think about it the more I realise that life is too short and we would constantly sitting in doors worrying about debt.

As for picking winners no I didn't :rotfl: I think my dog is still running.

I was tempted to bet on the tractor that went round now and again. I would have had more chance.

Glad you had a good night out though and sort of money saved hahaha

  • Yay another sale on eBay :T. Grand total so far £20.50. I was only just sitting here starting to feel sorry for myself with regards to the journey we have with debt  I have been reading the debt free roll of honour board and trying to imagine myself posting on there. It made me really take stock of our situation. Feeling slightly anxious tonight about it all.

DD is home tomorrow so she can nip to the post office for me and send them off. :)

  • No more sales on ebay today (yet) fingers crossed though.

Been very moody and a little grouchy today. Big discussion today at work regarding our retirement ages

It made me think about where I will be at that time financially I mean. I have 17 years to go apparently

My debt just kept whizzing round in my head and I was secretly thinking :(:(:(:(:(

I haven't even got a pension set up and was thinking OMG

Feeling fed up today and cant seem to shake it off.

    Sorry for the miserable post

Oh no!!! Sending you a big debt busting virtual hug :grouphug:
I'm sorry you're feeling low. Look back at your diary and see just how far you've come! You're doing fab and your debt is getting busted! I think we'd all love it if it could just disappear instantly but it's going to take time and the most important think is we're reducing not adding to our debts!
Chin up lovely you've got this!!
  • Thank you Popstess

I don't know why I feel so fed up today. will be doing some more reading on here tonight and will hopefully perk up a bit.

I think your right I am getting impatient and want it all to go away.

But its our mess and we need to clear it up

I have just read some ones post about becoming debt free today. I love reading stories of success. :) It proves its doable
