    Woohoo!! Go 12 month!!!
Did you download that app I told you about too for another free £5? Mines gone back into my account today so it's definitely okay.
What's your Emergency Fund amount that you're aiming for? And sounds like a daft question but what constitutes as an emergency to use the emergency fund? If that makes sense.
  • Hi Pops
I'm aiming for £1000 I don't really know what its for :rotfl: Many people on here swear by it and it saves having to use CCs for anything at all. I hope I don't get an emergency because I don't want to dip into it.
There will be money there for car repairs, boiler repairs or anything that comes up unexpectedly.

I want to see how long it takes me to get to my target. I literally round down accounts more or less everyday and move the odd money into my EF. I've even moved 28p into it before. It is soon growing though.

Once I reach this target I am going to carry on tackling my CCs I am focussing on one at a time and am paying over the minimum on this card to get rid of it. Then on to the next and so on. I forgot about the app I will look at it now.

Oh brill!! I might try that rounding down accounts trick! I'm thinking of whatever money I have left in my "spending" money account at the end of the month halving it and putting half into the EF fund and using half to pay off some debt
  • That a great idea halving the money. I bet once you do this you will be so determined to keep going. :j:j

People on here work out their debt busting in different ways. You will find what works best for you.

As for the rounding down I learned that on here as well.
I'm stealing everyone's ideas. But I love reading how people have done it and its so inspiring.

  • Well Ive been out nice and early today to post an ebay sale item and to buy some brown paper to send my other items when they sell. :) Not if, when.

Even bought some xmas wrapping bits in the pound shop. I desperately want to be able to do Christmas with my own funds and not Mr Credit Cards :(

Lots of housework to do (again) waiting for everyone to go out shopping etc. Give me some peace and quiet so I can get on with it. Who knows I may come across something else to sell :rotfl:

    Have a good weekend all

  • :rotfl::rotfl: at myself

Had two £2 coins in my purse this morning and had an idea that maybe I could save these also. Not that I get very many of them because I don't.

Anyway whilst out this morning I was waiting for my change in the shop and said to the assistant 'have you got any £2 coins' She said only one and kindly gave it to me in my change,

However upon checking when I returned home I discovered it is actually 1 Turkish Lira.

Lesson Learned. Maybe I am taking this money saving to a level higher than I can cope with

It did give me a smile to myself though.
Note to self even if the person seems friendly never trust anyone. oh and always check your change
