  • Still thinking about my CCs and which one to pay the extra money on.

Sadly I dont have enough to clear one totally but want to make sure I do the right thing.

Its all going round and round in my head ( It never took me this long to decide what to buy on them though) :rotfl:

I will make a decision and do it tomorrow I think :)

I have made another £20 on ebay as well so :j

  • Wow what a weekend

Have finally made a decision. I transferred a lump sum from a CC to one offering 6.9% for the life of the balance.
I then made a big payment to it also :T
Leaving my target CC with quite a smaller balance now. :)

I have done a new snowball and am still cracking on with the overpayments on my target CC to get this one finished. :j

I have been lucky enough to have Christmas presents sorted, bills paid,EF up to its total, Shopping done, weekly budget done,

I HAVE NOW MADE MY OVERALL TARGET TO UNDER £30,000 AND MY DFD A FEW MONTHS EARLIER :j:j:j

    Overall a productive weekend
    Good luck all

That's fab news, I'm sure that you'll be more motivated now as you can see some tangible progress, I always find it spurs me on that little bit more when I hit a goal.
  • Thank you Icc86

You are so right about reaching a goal. My EF, I dont seem to see it as money. As strange as that sounds I am a little protective over it and want to keep adding to it. My car insurance is due end FEB so I am trying to build up enough from now until then to pay it outright and leave my EF at £1000. :T

As for my debt total it is still HUGE but now its in the twenties I am so motivated to keep going.

    Thanks again

Congratulations on your good fortune. You are right..sometimes a little good luck is just what you need to dig in and keep debt slaying. Great timing to give you a fresh motivation going into 2016.

  • :hello:

    Hi all

Just popping in to ramble a little.

I have been very good this week. No unnecessary spending :)

Weekly budget done for next week. Once accounts have had shopping money paid etc will round down accounts and move odd amounts to EF and my sealed pot challenge. I so want to be able to pay my car insurance in full in Feb. This is one of my challenges for the next couple of months.

Did my shopping on line and had £12 off a £60 shop. Made excellent use of this :T Total shopping for the week for 4 adults £48.50. I do love a discount code. :)

Christmas tree up and sparkling nicely in the lounge.

This is actually early for me but couldn't resist.
I'm usually Bah Humbug around this time of year but I am unusually happy and in the Christmas spirit :) I think its because I am organised with my debt busting journey and am on track for my December snowball payments.
    (Long may it continue)

Keep thinking of a target figure I can set myself and hopefully pay this off my debt in 2016.

I constantly think about money and debt and sometimes it becomes a little daunting and seems unachievable but I MUST stay focussed.

Its looking very cosy with the Christmas lights on and chilling on the settee. :xmassmile

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and the debt busting is going well.

Where on earth did the weekend go?????
Time flies when your having fun eh.

    Anyway have been busy today

Roast dinner cooked and all washing up done. Washing and ironing done, Housework done, Sandwiches for OH's lunch tomorrow done (left over roast beef and horseradish)

Egg salad made for my work lunch too

Then I decided to cook Shepherds pie for dinner tomorrow, with Leek in a cheese sauce and veg :) All from the local cheaper supermarket £3.25 :j For 4 adults

Just need to shower then can relax and plan my debt busting month ahead :T

Have discovered the 'old style money saving' thread. Lots of good tips on there too.
