  • I truly wished that someone like Martin or someone big in the media would take our cases up because it is very stressful. Mr Kotan has stolen our money - any other theft would be taken up by the police

He's pretty good on this type of problem.

Or issue an NBA and start the small claims procedure. If you have evidence from airline that they have paid out there should be no problem getting either payment or a judgement.

    The alleged Ringleader.........
  • They were on You and Yours not that long ago and they interviewed the boss who was very reassuring. Doesn't seem to have made any difference though.
  • Just add onto this, after putting pressure on by stating I have raised a County Court Claim, I finally received 1 half of the payment (Jakub said he sent the full amount in 2 payments), so I gave it another week and then started chasing for the remainder of the money by phoning daily. Eventually, after I told him I have sent a report to Trading Standards as well as completing the County Court Claim, I then received the remaining payment with an hour.
I must say, Jakub is a compulsive liar and offers many false promises but you have to remember, if you raise a County Court Claim, EUDelay will have to pay for all costs, including interest and your expenses.
Hope you get your problems resolved soon!!
  • To join in on this thread - I used EUDelay a couple of years ago for a quite complicated claim and found them absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately I had cause to use them again last year and obviously didn't think twice as they'd been so good first time around. Now I'm obviously having the same problems as everyone else. I raised a claim in October last year and just before Christmas was told it had been settled and they would be paying into my account. Since then I have had no reply to any of my chasing. Having read all the threads, I e-mailed Jacob Kotan direct and surprisingly he did actually reply to me and say he was looking into it. I've heard nothing further. I gave him seven days to respond before I took further action, so I assume I will now have to go down the small claims court route, unless anyone has any better ideas?

See the post above yours for somebody else with a similar idea.
The above is just my opinon - which counts for nowt! You must make up your own mind.
  • I have just been told that i have won a claim through EU Delay. I am very worried now as i have been told that in order to receive my money i have to send them the fee that they charge befor they can release my money, which is a considerable amount as this was for a party of 9. Have they asked anyone else to do this. I am currently trying to get in touch with the solicitor to see if they have released the payment yet.

I think, given their history, you suggest you will only pay the fee with a written and signed guarantee from the solicitor that you will receive your payment, in full?

You shouldn't be paying any fees upfront. Find out from the airline to whom they have paid your compensation to, in the first instance. If they have paid it to EUClaim, they should deduct their fees from this, as agreed in your contract.
