And someone else on that Watchmywallet thread has had another bounced cheque...
I was told verbally that all these problems had been sorted out (as claimed in the Graun article), but the apparent evidence would appear to suggest otherwise...0 -
I would only echo the advice given by others, IF you really want to go NWNF go Botts, the best option is always DIY if you have the time and energy to pursue your claim.
I've never used Botts myself, but they do have a good reputation on here. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Botts cherry pick the best and reject anything that involves any work on their part, not saying that's wrong, they have a business to run after all, but they certainly are not the best thing since sliced bread.0 -

Sorry Tony - but I cannot agree with this.
I have no connection to Botts, but they were the lawyers who took both the Dawson case and the Huzar case all the way to the Supreme Court. I am guessing that probably involved some work on their part ...
They are not the only NWNF lawyers out there, but whichever one people choose I recommend you go with solicitors and not some fly by night claims company. Otherwise you risk a load of hassle. As you know to your cost.0 -

I think that's unfair, many of the regulars on here use Botts flight checker to advise MSE members if they have a valid claim, I don't see that as 'Cherry Picking' it's purely done on flight stats and genuine EC's that Botts know occurred and would make a potential claim invalid. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

I'm sorry but you are wrong, it's not "purely done on flight stats", my claim is a perfectly valid claim but they are not interested as it involves extra work so they reject it on the basis "we don't deal with that airline" which translates to too much work and cherry picking.
As I said, I can't blame them as they have a business to run but facts are facts..0 -
FWIW, my claim is pretty cut-and-dried, but their claims checker states it's outside their jurisdiction! (flight ends in UK, Airline and all other countries are EU!).0

I know for a fact that the Burgess Hill address is correct and that post to that address is picked up by the company (at least as recently as the end of last month).
If it's sent back "unknown", my understanding (please someone can correct me if I'm wrong!), is that you can go back to the Court, as it's the last known address of the company and they can consider it to have been served and move to a default judgement in your favour. Hopefully someone with some proper legal knowledge can confirm this.
Edit:
Check the companies house website, seems to have changed address as of today (18th)0 -
Hi Trader,
How did you find out who the solicitors were on your case?
Drdpj, thanks for your info. He didn't mention anything about that, but he couldn't seem to get his story straight, that's for sure!!0 -
EUDelay should tell you. If they won't - and it's not Colemans - I'd get in touch with the airline in the first instance, and find out whether they paid out.0
