Sorry just to add if you get nowhere with this (hope you do I did) E-mail again saying your very unhappy with the fact you keep getting told different information from customer services.

But I was told that they are all being told that as the terms and conditions are changing all customer are being given the option to terminate fee free.
Thanks for any help and advice given

The problem seems to be mainly due to Carphone Warehouse.

o2 seems to have held its hands up with regard to its direct customers, letting them go.
CPW on the other hand still seems to be using fob off and delaying tactics. My local shop even says 08 numbers were never part of the contract, and as for HO my 1st class recorded delivery, has not been delivered/accepted over a week after posting. The 30 day notification period is quickly disappearing, are they going to use that to try to keep you tied to them? Not as bad as steveing64
I suppose there is £34 to be had from the Royal Mail. ;)

Maybe an email to o2 ceo is next, I'll give it a day or so more for CPW to resolve.

The way customers are being treated differently does not throw a good light on CPW's respect for theirs. I will not be using them again, or Talk Talk.

Yes, but... if they (CPW) refuse to talk by being in denial??

I agree, it's O2 that provide the service isn't it? So got straight to them. As long as you get what you want and disconnected fee free.

if you are with cpw o2 then you will not show up on the o2 direct systems so if any queries are to be made from cpw customers then they have to contact cpw direct
  • I had great difficulty dealing with O2's online ticket service as well as a sub-par customer services number.

In the end, I went to the top, emailed the CEO, Peter Erskine. Had a phone call a few days later and I'm now £10 better off a month.

It's annoying when you have to go to the top in order to get to the bottom...
  • Hi i have an o2 contract which i took out on 13th march 2007,i would like to cancel as im not happy with o2 anyway,i want to phone CPW to cancel but need advice on excatly what to say incase they try to spin me with some utter garbage.thanks in advance
  • I got a text so I sent my letter to the disconnections mangager two weeks ago to cancel my CPW contract. I had no reply whatsoever, so i just called CPW and spoke to a lady who put me through to a special team dealing with these complaints, He said he would send my PAC and i have 30 days to use it, once i use it my account would be cancelled with no penalty. I took my contract out in May and hardly use 08 numbers. After reading all the problems on here I was ready to put up a fight, this was not the case, i didnt even have to mention the contract clause. Have CPW finally sorted out their attitude?
