Hi everybody,
I upgraded my contract in July and they send me a letter confirming 0870/0845 will remain included in my allowance.
Should I wait for them to inform me about these new changes or go ahead with a written cancellation request?
Thanks in advance0 -

O2 are going to start charging for 0870 etc numbers. Does this affect CPW customers? I was told that they would be included for at least 12 months so I have already contacted Charles Dunstone's office about this. Not really worth cancelling as on a free contract but might cancel anyway if I can time it right to get up to date with my cashback. Then I can take out another contract with the CPW group and get another free phone!
O2 have insisted that CPW charge . They will start doing so from 4/10/2007.0 -

I just got an sms from O2 saying they will start charging from 28th September for 0844/5 numbers - Gutted!
Does anyone know what providers still allow 0844 numbers?0 -

That is the ONLY advantage O2 have at the moment, they don't have high speed net, don't update your mins instantly, don't do video calling.
I think if they go ahead with this they will loose and enourmous amount of custom!
The ONLY reason I have an O2 contract is because of the 08 numbers, otherwise I wouldn't bother.
Should we start a e-petition calling for O2 to stop this?0 -
This is disgusting! I've just had the text through from O2.
So, to call any breakdown organisation (0800 number) will now cost me 20p a minute, to call any big company (0870/0800) will cost me 20p a minute!
I'm still in the minimum term of my contract but will be seeing what they say about cancelling for this!0 -

How about we get a Virgin contract? And use the 07744 numbers to ring 08 numbers?
I think I might just do that!0 -
I phoned O2 this morning after getting the same text.
I was told that as O2 have changed my contract, I am able to cancel it early.
I still have 7 months left on an 18 month contract, but have been told that I can cancel.0 -
ive emailed um too, how do we cancel then and can u migrate our numbers to PayTalk?0

My 12 months contract with O2 ends in a month's time. I have given my 30 days cancellation notice. This morning someone from O2 called me and offered me:
100 x network mins, no text for £15, with a new Nokia 73, or £100 without. Or
100 mins 50 text £15 with no phone and £75 cashback.
I said I will think about it, and I made a point re the 08 numbers inclusive. She said 3 times that it will be included because mine will be an old tariff. I am not sure can I trust her or not. I have asked her to make a note on my account screen.0
