    Hi everyone!

It was my last day off work today and it has been fairly productive. Have done some batch cooking. Made a cottage pie, lasagne and bolognaise for the freezer. Had lots of bolognaise left over too so changed the meal plan and used that up this evening. Haven't been out apart from to take DS to and from his rugby camp so it has been a SFD. Only my 4th of the month, but at least I have managed to stick to budgets so far.

Have had some more interest in my business as a result of the competition I am running. The person who was due to pay the deposit today emailed to say she couldn't make it but will definitely pay tomorrow.

Need to make packed lunch for work tomorrow and one for DS to take to camp. Other than that, planning to relax for the rest of the evening.

    Hi All

    - NSD on personal spends.
    - Up £2.50 in Nectar points due to complaining about the selection to Mr S HQ.
    - Low cost dinner planned of bacon, onion & cheese pasta
    - Paid my £82 CB off CC1 so that is now down to only £54
    - Paid £4 off the business CC

Think those are my main things to be pleased about today.

WelshKitty - Im so pleased about your business. Im sure the deposit will come in, I often end up with people owing me for a little while, but they always pay. I try not to make to big a thing of it to them, unless there genuinely is a reason to.

Fmess - Glad to help. And thanks for sharing your menu ideas! What is Navajos? appreciate I could just google but....

Today was not a good day at the shop. I have a part coming for a key machine but until it does it has been making a hideous noise, & I cant escape it. Plus trade was absolutely diabolical until the last hour. Which put pressure on me to try and get packed up & to the bank on time. Horrible horrible.
Anyway. After I came home and looked at my business budget I was pleased to note that one of my agreements ends this month, so thats £40 better off for me. Thats one of the music licenses paid in installments over 3 months.
The other will finish in November, then thats another £84 I will be better off.
Also to look forward to a £1500 rent break during November/December combined, & the end of the £306 HMRC claw back on 15th Jan.
Thats a lot of money different per month isnt it. And a reason I have to keep going now, whilst its bl00dy hard, & cash flow is so uncertain. Because I know come September, it will start to climb & I will be here moaning for a different reason, that its so busy I cant cope. Forward eyes on! Its just so hard when you are going through the fear at the time. Deep breathe, & off for a bath :)

    Hi all!

Hugs to Calling first off - it's an act of love easing the suffering of something, and am sure your doggie appreciated it wherever they are.

Yesterday and today both SFDs = 13 to date

Mindfulness went to pot yesterday, but managed it today at the gym.

Am off from next Wednesday and I really can't wait. Feel like I'm running on an empty tank nearly already. Emotionally drained.

    Hugs all x

Today I am grateful for my knitting (managed to knit 1/2 of one side of a monster whilst in a *shhhh* coffee shop), for swimming with dd and seeing her confidence soar, for being inside and warm while the rain lashes against the windows, for stiffish muscles after yesterday's workout which shows that I did work rather hard after all, for al the meal ideas you are all coming up with.

    Hugs Calling.

A SFD but not much done. Need to turn some ingredients into meals and put some energy (anyone got any going spare?) into a couple of other things.

Don't be alarmed if I disappear at some point. I think the laptop is on the way out and my sleeping pattern is dreadful. I may try a few days of 9pm bedtime and no tv/internet to see if I can get straight and get on with the things I need to do.

Not strictly menu sharing but my cooking plans include:-

Sausage and mash (cook a whole pack of frozen sausage and a large pan of mash and then re-pack and freeze in meal-size portions)
Carrot cake - double batch cut up and frozen in small boxes (low sugar recipe)
Quiches - made without pastry, using up scraps (ham/onions/mushrooms/sweetcorn0
Oaty biscuits (again low sugar, so frozen in small batches)
Curry - probably broccoli and butterbean but may have other things thrown in.
Cauli/broccoli and pasta in cheese sauce (+ mushrooms if they start to get too soft to eat raw). Portion cheese sauce and freeze.
Salads - curried rice, pasta salad and bean salad
Sandwich filling - have ham and corned beef (ham may get portioned and frozen) but want to add tuna and sweetcorn or grated cheese and onion (+celery) mixed with low fat mayo and fat free yoghurt. These are two I crave when I see them in shops, so better to do my own low fat versions.
I have a bag of frozen chicken so may defrost some for tandoori (good with salads) or use a rub.Hardboil a few eggs and cut carrot sticks and cauli florets + low fat dip.

Today I am grateful for my bed, for being able to bring the bins in despite the rain and for DS3 treating me to a takeaway (wanted it last Thursday but did without. Waited till Monday as the weekend offer is around £20 and M-Th is £13, then he said he couldn't afford it. Today he has received last month's sales money and has another commission so he went for it. Really really grateful as having quite a bad day).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Hi everyone, had a lovely very low spendy day today in Liverpool. Dd got us free coffees in N@rod, and very cheap meals in one of the restaurants, it was a special birthdays of hers and she has had a really bad year that is only just now turning around so it was great to spend the day with her.

    My meals usually include
    Veggie chilli
    Veggie spag
    Veggie pie
    Quiche
    Lentil soup
    Bean stews
    Various salads and jacket potatoes
    Pizza
By the way I'm veggie if you hadn't guessed and I make homemade stuff all the time which is a something I've always done since my girls were little and we were on a really low wage, had a mortgage and really struggling.

Hugs 'Calling' it's always a hard decision and one I've had to make a couple of times.
