  • Good morning fellow turtles!

I woke up to the sound of the house phone ringing and when I picked up it was a telesales. I wasn't very happy about that and thought to myself these telesales people have no respect for time, ringing even so early in the morning, until I realised it was already quarter to 10! Toinks... I shouldn't really be still in bed coz I've got loads to do today. Complete turn around - thank goodness for that telesales caller, I am now ready to tackle my ironing. Hubby is at work, DS1 is at NCS training camp all week and DS2 still sleeping. Hubby texted me not to use the dishwasher and washing machine because the pipe below the sink has burst. He'll fix it when he gets back from work? Hopefully it would be cheap to fix. That would change my todo list but I've got plenty of other tasks to do instead of the laundry.

It wasn't NSD yesterday as we had to go food shopping and spent 3x more than I hoped. I managed to catch some YS goodies from the bakery section of Mr. A and the lady doing the stickers was not as friendly as my usual one every Sunday. And since it was still 3 hours before closing time, it wasn't like the give away price I normally get. It's still good though compared to the normal price. Hopefully my cupboard and fridge freezer stocks will last all week so I can still be within budget.

I wombled six receipts lying around the shop benches and floor in @ldi and uploaded receipt in Checkout Smart, and Clicksnap and earned 40p yay!

Hoping for NSD number 9 today.

Good news I managed to get DH to check the First Utility account and he found out we are due for a refund of £289. We have to wait for 28 days after closing the account though. Hopefully it would be in the bank by the end of August. That will go straight to the cc payment.

Thanks welshkitty for sharing your meal plan. i am thinking of cooking chicken goujon and salad wraps for tea tonight.

Mothernerd, must be very annoying and scary to have a stalker. Nannygladys boo to the restaurant for not accepting the voucher. Did you or your friend let them know how disappointed you were?

Good day to all. Happy MSE-ing.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Just had an email to say the market research agency working with my business energy supplier had made a £50 payment to my eBay. So that's paid across to the CC. Which takes me to 69% of the stretch target now.

Well done on utility refund tog and bob.

My payments are reducing by £11 from next month.

Went and did Sainsburys clothes shop to be fair I was sensible got a winter jacket, cardy, jumper and pjs only ate into £14 of my cash rest nectar points. Did a food shop £26 whilst there so probably max out my food budget now.

Had a lovely day off shopping without rushing, ironing sunbathing and gardening jobs bit dull I suppose but neglected them all with my back lately.

Doggy poorly again yesterday so was glad to be home with her today. Seems fine so far today perhaps it was the heat yesterday as I left her out all day. Fingers crossed take her for another walk now.

In my case it wasnt a refund, Im on a research panel. Its been a good earner I tell you! Since I joined have done 1 online focus group for £50, 1 telephone interview for the same, and 1 online discussion where you answer pre set questions on a board and the mods can comment back to you etc. So £150 for not much work at all.

Really glad you were able to put your Nectar points to good use Calling, its nice to get something for nothing isnt it. Blimey cant believe sunbathing has been on your agenda today though, here its slate grey skies and pretty chilly/breezy. Autumns on the way.

Bob that's brilliant way to get some extra pennies.

Been at least 18c here all day, looking at weather forecast we get the rain tomorrow, nevermind back in work, can play with my spreadsheets and avoid the shops.

Need to search around for car insurance haven't got my renewal yet but done a few quotes prices seem to have gone up considerabley.

Shower and bit of tv time. Have a nice evening x

apple muncher - please be stern with me and feel free to question any purchases I make :)

yay to the refund the only girl

well done to your extra money bob

calling - sorry to hear about your dog being poorly again

Today was another SFD :) and I feel grumpy this evening, think I am coming down with something.

I have figured out that I need to get cc1 to £1261.63 for all that cards debt to be on 0%. That means I have about £420 to pay off that card, hopefully this will be doable within a month, whilst paying towards the other debts as well. My loan payment is my biggest payment by far, so if I can get this paid off in the next year, then I will have money to throw at the two credit cards and get them down before the end of their 0% deals.

    A good plan fmess!

Today I am grateful for a beautiful sunset across the moors, for a lovely evening stroll with dd and dh, for engrossing books, for time just to be and not always be doing, for comfy sofas.

  • Hi fmess, good luck on your quest with the credit cards. I am sure you'll be able to meet your target.

Like you, I also need a serious talking to. What would have been NSD number 9 turned out to be a take away night. Hubby fancied Chinese but our blood pressures shoot up straight after eating Chinese food so we ended up having Indian instead. Dessert is YS apple pie with vanilla ice cream from @ldi. The expense will be from the savings he made from the petrol budget by taking the metro instead of driving. Although we feel very naughty spending £30 for an evening meal, we haven't exactly broken the budget. But still...

I finished my ironing yay! Tomorrow we'll tackle the garden weather permitting.

I bid you all a good night. See you tomorrow.
