Bob hope things improve this week for you and your son gets to enjoy last few days of childcare.
Welshkitty - truly gorgeous out there, hope your not too long at appt. Just to let you know free play thing on high street all week, looked empty when I walked past and about 4 helpers there. Pirate day in local shopping centre tomoro.
Monday hangover eventually went phew. Nice walk at silly o clock with my dog walking gang. Even made a cooked breakfast this morning and got to work on time. So happy to have a clear head.
Trying not to spend today but need to pop a parcel into collect + unfortunately local little asda. Will try to drop and run off. I do need salad stuff but will hold out till tomorrow.
Sfd up to 12/20 woo hoo.
Add up my shopping totals now.

Afternoon All
Just made another teeny weeny payment of £2.40 this was the total of my tips today, so why not:D Managed to pay the shop rent, only 2 more payments this year till my golden rent break (2 months of £750 extra in the kitty) cant wait:T I am pretty cleaned out though. Today wasnt too bad if it stays like this I can manage.
Thanks for the sympathy on the childcare front. This has been the first summer holidays where I've been tied to the shop 5 week days per week. Last year I used to not work Monday/Tuesday but then I'd be in both days at the weekend most of the time. So its come with some complications for us to manage, but sometimes you just have to get on with it dont you.
WelshKitty - Do you have a meal plan typed up that you can share? I am finding my home repetiore quite samey at the moment so would love some new ideas. I do lurk on the old style thread on that topic sometimes. Hope your sons hospital appointment went alright too.
Calling - thanks, and glad you are feeling bad to normal.

Evening all! Abundant, well done on the workout - I do mine in the morning, which means getting up an hour earlier, but I always feel better once I'm done
Bob, sorry about your son not enjoying childcare, at least seven days isn't too long now. Mothernerd, like others have said, do be careful with stalker (or maybe a dead-eyed "why do you care if I have a boyfriend or not?" would stop them in their tracks?!)
Well, I had a look in my cupboards earlier and made brownies with the ingredients in them - followed a strange recipe that asked for sweet potatoes instead of butter, and they're...okay. OH has just asked if I could make them every day for the rest of his life, so he clearly likes them, but I can still taste the potato a bitmeans a NSD and I still get my choccy fix! Happy Monday evening, it's all downhill from here!

Evening!
Managed to bag another SFD today = 11 so far.
Mindfulness today was driving to work - tuning in to the car and everything going on around me. Promise it was safe and not daydreaming!!!
Having a quiet evening in, just doing some batch cooking for the week ahead... It's either going to be a resounding success or go horribly wrong haha! (experiment with chicken in the over haha).
Echoing what others have said Mothernerd - stalker?!?! I had one - somebody I'd dated that turned nasty... had to report him in the end as he turned nasty. Some people are harmless but better to make it clear you're not interested somehow, in a nice way maybe... and nip it in the bud?
Anyway - have a good evening peeps!!!

Evening all,
Wow you have all been busy with holiday activities and MSEing.
I am having a very stern talk to myself today as I have just realised one of my spreadsheet totals was wrong and I have £80 more debt to payoff. That will teach me for not logging everything at the end of everyday. I have also decided that I need to have a very MSE September as I am making far too many excuses and not knuckling down to tackling the debt. No more making budgets are breaking them. Who is doing September? Can you be extra firm with me? Like NSK was
I have had another SFD today so starting to increase the numbers now. Well done for all of those that are toting up the SFDs.

Hi everyone!
Calling thank you. DS is in rugby training all week but DD is having to come to my meeting with me tomorrow (as DH has an apt.) which just happens to be in the same place as where they are doing the play session, so they may come in handy!
Bob I feel my meal plans are often quite repetitive. I always buy the same bundle form the butcher as it works out cheaper that buying things seperately, but it means I nearly always cook the same meals! But my meal plan is currently looking like:
Gammon, chips, cauliflower chees.
Pork ramen
Pork fried rice
Sausage casserole
Lasagne
Cottage pie
Chicken & mushroom risotto
Pasta & meatballs
Fajitas
Chicken stir fry
Chicken ramen
Bolognaise
Roast chicken
Chicken fried rice
DH loves wagamama restaurants, so I got their cookbook a while ago, which is why I have a lot of stir fries, ramen etc in the menu.
I am hoping to do some batch cooking tomorrow afternoon so on days when I am working I will have things like lasagne to just put in the oven.
I have been having a problem with our old landlord insurance provider. They continued to take payments after I cancelled the renewal and have failed to refund. I decided to complain on the Facebook page, as it seems the best way to get a response these days. Today, I have had an email to say they are refunding the £12 they still owe me, but are also sending me a cheque for £25 for the inconvenience. That will be going straight into savings to start building that back up again!0 -
Fmess - it's me running September so I promise to be stern with you!
Today I am grateful for a good night's sleep, for cheery walkers out and about, for sparkly wool for knitting, for warmth, for good books.
mothernerd - don't know how much you were joking about your stalker... Nick Crane (the one who does Coast) always carries a brolly with him, attached to the side of his rucksack - a useful walking stick and defence mechanism as required. Tho I think he used it mainly on roaming cows... Do take care, otherwise we'll worry about you.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
SFD #11. Very lazy day, lots of sleep.
I think the stalker is harmless, just a nuisance. I first met him when I was deciding to divorce exOH. I had run out of the house after a row and ended up by the bowling green at the local park when it started to rain. He stopped to ask if I was okay. However for some reason he sees me as a romantic prospect. After 22 years of me refusing to go for a drink and stressing that I do not want or have time for a bf, I don't think he is ever going to get the message that I am not interested (he has had relationships). If I see him I try to go a different way but if as yesterday, he is on his bike, he can sneak up on me and then we rerun the conversation. I always try to stay polite as I am unsure how he might react otherwise. We were between the library and church and there was no-one around. Haven't seen him as much whilst I have been living at the other house.
Some men don't seem to understand polite refusals - think that is where I went wrong with the exOH. No matter how many times I said I was not interested, he hung around and scared all my friends away. I did threaten to inform the police about my ex- toyboy as he persisted in calling and hanging around the house (perils of living on the edge of a carpark) after I ended the relationship.
Sorry for scaring you all. Just realised I don't actually know the stalker's name, don't know if I ever did.
Today I am grateful for all your concern for my well-being, for a lovely message from Synonymous and my bed.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hi all
Mothernerd please be careful, we will all be worrying about you now.
Well I had spendy day, but it was all needed.
Fuel £20
Food £4.48
So not much spent really. A friend treated me to a meal tonight as he had a voucher for two meals for 6.50, but when he came to pay they said it didn't apply as we hadn't had a dessert!!! And they wouldn't put it into the computer that we had had some, sometimes I could spit.... Anyway we are going back on Friday for round 2 and I'll pay!!!!
Looking after dgd tomorrow, so that will keep me busy all morning and then tomorrow night I'm going to try a sewing club, it's only once a month so not sure what's it's about but I will take a bit of xstitch and see what happens.
Anyway bed and a read calls, take care everyone and just realised we are over half way through August now so come on we can still do it!!!!!!

Morning All
Thanks for revealing your meal plan Welsh Kitty. I haven't done meat balls for a while & the fried rice dishes sound good too. So you see it is good to see why others are making. Maybe we could introduce that as an element to next month's challenge so we got to see meal plans x 15 as an inspiration? Just a thought. I know some of you have intolerances but it's still interesting to see what you eat instead of meat and 2 veg.
Last night's meal was free courteously of my £4 Mr T voucher. It did give me food for thought literally as I chose 2 piri piri treated chicken breasts which would have been £4.50 full price (& I would never pay that just for 2 chicken breasts when a bird is around £1 more) but they'd YSD them for £2.40 so I thought why not. Especially as it was free essentially. Also got some YS raspberries and 2 loaves at 17p each.
When we got home I put them into an oven dish with potatoes, carrots and onions. Bit weird having a real winter meal in August but we both enjoyed it. So whatever
Mothernerd - I hope your stalker has never done anything to make you feel really uncomfortable? Have you told close friends and family about him? Just makes me feel slightly uneasy as you do hear of nutters who turn suddenly and then they say oh yes everyone knew but the police etc ignored it because he seemed harmless. But you know best of course..
NannyG - boo to your voucher not working. That sucks. I hate things where you think it's going to be free but then end up being charged.
Fmess - you found the errors that's the main thing isn't it? Don't be so hard on yourself.
Have a great day all.
