Bob - hope trade picks up this afternoon for you.
TOG - well done on the free bread - got to love a freebie.
I have had a look at my account and have transferred £80 to my Next account to pay for some of the things we have just bought from there. Most of this has come from being well under budget with groceries.
Am going to make lunch now and carry on working this afternoon. HM pizza to make for tea but not much else going on today.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Laughing and looking for Bob's bounce.:rotfl:
Only girl - wow jealous of yr YS shop last week but free bread that's amazing.:D
Well happy as I have been to physio and feel so much better, really helpful got another appointment in 2 weeks time, heaps of exercises to do. Just happy to try all her suggestions as my calf muscles are really tight, causing foot problems.
Had a refund 24.00 from British Gas unexpected, annual bill time. So put towards this months card cost - use for fuel, clothes.
Plan to knuckle down rest of this month, as can't go away or do much this month, seem to have too much work on and lots of appointments for various things.
Can't believe that paid off 200 already this month, plus cleared everyday card and planned a lot more next 2 weeks. Where is the spare money come from? Like Dolly not overspent on food and loving a 5 week month - advantages of getting paid weekly ;-):D
Just ordered some pillowcase with Argos as some deal with nectar points, use 500 points and get 1000 points by mid sept. Need to click on a link on Nectar points offer page. Well if they want to give me money hey ho and short of pillowcases. Collect them later.
Sfd now up to 10/20 - halfway there woo hoo.
Nothing planned for the weekend, might catch up with the iron. Try a longer walk tomorrow use my Nat. Trust card as offspring away so peace.
Hope Bob you get your bounce back as bouncing is so much fun fun fun

Fmess I saw the recipe for choc courgette cake on grocery board and will have a go next week, and I will look for the fritters as I rather fancy them.
Bob I haven't seen any balls bouncing past here but will keep my eyes peeled.
Haven't been out all day so day 8 sfd for me, it's been raining all day, so I have made a quiche, meatless pie and chocolate brownies, all from stuff I had in so I'm fine for dinners and lunches for the weekend. I'm also Billy no mates over the weekend so I will be watching a lot of catch up tv and sorting a few more cupboards so I do a bit more painting next week.
Anyway off to get dinner and then take a trip around the garden as it looks as if it as stopped raining at the moment

Well done on the payment dolly. Thanks for the group hug calling. I hope your day went better today Bob.
Another NSD today as I stayed indoors all day, more specifically, in bed all day! What a lazy bum I am! None of my to do list was ticked except the chillaxing bit. Maybe my body was telling me to just slow down after a very long and hectic week. Hubby will be home soon so I'd better get moving and make some sort of dinner.

Hi all,
Finally found my way back on here. I too have been AWOL all week! Apologies!!! It's been a funny week - I guess I've felt a little out of sorts and detached from things...
I'll catch up on everyones' posts over the weekend I promise...
Quick re-cap:
Mon, Thur & Fri all SFD's and that brings me to 9
Budget balancing has gone a bit awry... I'm still within target but my decision to keep a personal trainer going once a week has eaten up my spending allowance - but on the flip side - has kept me motivated at the gym.
Need to tune in and get back on track with my mindset over the next few days... I feel like I've slipped a little...
I hope everyone is ok... keeping well... and surviving the mid-month hump that always seems to get me down!
Hugs all xxx

Today I am grateful for laughs with dd, for a good book, for warmth despite the torrents of rain, for dss cooking dinner, for 'things to look forward to'.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Slept well and for a long time, thanks to yesterdays exertions. Finally got back on the bus around 4pm, intending to make several trips to the other house to bring back plant pots and smaller items.
However spent nearly two hours there but now have three of the old kitchen units (were in the shed, going to put them under the stairs here so that tools etc can be moved out of my bedroom) and 4 x 30l tubs complete with soil and plants all lined up to be brought back.
I was careful. The tubs were moved across the 'patio', lifted up the step into the dining room onto rubble sacks and then shoved/ dragged across the laminate flooring. Two are by the hallway door and two still in the dining room - need to take faithful dolly truck to take them across the carpet. Getting the units involved moving lots of stuff in the shed so definitely done my exercise for the day. Brought back the large rucksack plus another sack of weeding.
Think I have got it just right - too tired to contemplate another run but not in pain. Got that warm glow from using muscles. Must have done something right as my mac wouldn't fasten earlier and it did later. Not done much else (more washing and checked bank balance to make sure there is enough money for the dd going out tomorrow) but getting my money's worth from the bus ticket.
Today I am grateful for buses and pleasant drivers (young lad yesterday was really helpful and pleasant with a man in a wheelchair), for 4p roadkill (there was 5p yesterday but I was too tired to stop and pick it up and didn't want all the 'kids' laughing at me) and for seeing my ex- toyboy the other day and confirming that I was absolutely right to get rid of him when I did.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hi everyone!
Sorry I've been absent for a few days. I've been at work, which I'm finding really tedious at the moment. I've started searching for a new job that will fit around my masters.
I made a big decision today to use my savings to pay off the spending credit card. I know i kept saying I didn't want to do this but I am fed up of not being able to clear it at the end of each month. I still have some left in the savings and will now put all my cashback and survey money into the savings to build it back up.
Im afraid I'm not doing very well on SFDs (still only 2) but I am still within budget which currently looks like:
Fuel: £39.69/£120
Groceries: £133.53/£200
Days out: £154.79/£200
Business: £44.17/£1000 -
Morning all,
Spendy weekend so far and it'll continue today too. My friend didn't turn up yesterday but if booked in to a local cafe and prewarned them we were gluten free so I went along anyway for lunch and they'd baked gorgeous brownies so had one of those for puddingAlso got the lounge carpet cleaned, after 5 years, 5 dogs (including 2 puppies) and a cat, it was needing done tlc and it looks lovely now
Then went for dinner and drinks!
Not much MSE happening here although constantly chasing Virgin media as they make mess up after mess up with my account! They do sort it out when I call up but I just wish they'd not make the issues in the first place or at least call me when they do things do I know what's happening. I've called them more than any of my friends and family in the last month!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
