hope you enjoyed your day out Dolly.
Tonight could have been really pricey...OH has decided that my general lethargy, sickness and fatigue is due to "anaemia" (it's not, but I haven't eaten meat for a few weeks and due to also not eating dairy it's meant a lot of vegan meals which my body's not used to) - so he decided we needed steak. I told him we could have anything he wanted, as long as he got it YS - cue trip to Mr A's, where we got some steak, some salmon for me for tomorrow, a HUGE jar of mayo and some ciabatta bread, all at a discount! He also found some YS gluten/dairy-free pain au chocolat, which we had for dessert. Feeling very full now, and rather pleased that we didn't break the bank
Really do need to get this tiredness under control though - that or I need a holiday, one of the two!
I do hope you get to the bottom of your tiredness, it's no fun feeling like that on a regular basis.Quick post tonight just to say today has been a NSD and the loan payment went out taking the debt to under 5k :j:j Away for an early night as back to work tomorrow
Well done - that must feel great.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Bob - boo to the rain, we are expecting it up here tomorrow but you can keep it if you like.
Yesterday was a lovely day out, the kids really enjoyed the tunnel trip and it was very educational for all of us too. We spent £11 on the boat trip and £5.40 on ice cream, parking was free and I picked up a leaflet with some walks on the moors starting from the village so we will definitely be going back.
Not sure what we will be doing today, it is very dull here so will see how the weather shapes up in the next couple of hours. I hope I can get my washing out at least. I need to grocery shop tonight but don't need a huge shop and it is all still well within budget for the month.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Good morning.
Holiday time today. Sorry for the lack of posting. I think it is going to be a common thing where I don't post when I am working.
I am nearly always late home and am almost always shattered when I get there. Have enough energy to read but not really to write anything.
So... yesterday was a spendy day as we went shopping after work. We are now dogsitting for the next 10 days which means more exercise, hopefully.
I have a quick question for people... does anyone have any advice for improving confidence??
I am thinking (key word thinking) about possibly going for a promotion in the future. Another of the bosses is happy to help me with everything and thinks I would make a good deputy. She feels that my confidence is the only slight issue.
So, obviously, I am wanting to try and improve it. Thought I would ask here if anyone has any advice or things they have done.
:undecided
Will need to count up my spend-free days so far... think I might be on 10 but that seems a bit high for me so will double check.
Hope everyone is doing okay.
Hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Evening all,
misstara – well done on getting under 5k :j
apple muncher – thank you for the information
stewby – my advice to improve your confidence would be to do something that is really out of your comfort zone, and once you achieve that, it might help you feel more confident. I used to be very shy and quiet, until I moved out to go to uni (which I was so petrified about that I developed an eating disorder at that thought of going). When I got there, lived on my own and it was ok, I became a much more confident person. A similar thing happened when I overcame my fear of public speaking.
bob - hope you didn't get too wet
Today was a spendy day again but I'm giving up stressing about it. I went into school for results day and helped the students make their choices for next year based on their results and therefore options. Did two dog sitting visits for a friend and went for lunch at the pub with other teachers in between, oh and walked my boys. So tonight is a quiet night on the sofa as I have non-stop activities, visitors and dog sitting from tomorrow morning until Sunday night - should keep me entertained.
The rain has started a bit here now, its supposed to be very heavy later.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi all
Bob, I'm lactose intolerant. We've just not been eating much meat, it's not intentional it's just that the recipes I've been making don't have meat in them. Feeling a little better today so maybe there is something in it after all...
Dolly, glad you all enjoyed your day out
Misstara congrats on getting the debt under £5k! That's fantastic!
Stewby, confidence is a tricky thing isn't it? It sounds like other people have the confidence in you to do the job, so maybe when your brain tells you that you can't do it, it's not telling you the truth? I tend to tell myself that it will be okay once I've done it, and say yes to things before I get the chance to think about it! (To be fair, being the only person doing my role on the team has helped - there's nobody else to do it!)
Calling - sounds like you're doing well with the debt - keep going
Fmess - hope results day went well, it can be stressful for the kids can't it? Sounds like you might need the quiet one tonight - you're going to be busy!!
SFD today and I am on my own until Sunday now (OH gone to stay with his parents for a few days, to see friends back in his hometown) so I shouldn't really need to spend anything tomorrow either. Also gives me a chance to relax a bit tonight, which I need. Have a good evening turtles, try not to get swept away with the rain!Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!

Dd and I got drenched in the rain today! We'd been swimming and were all nice and dry...then left the leisure centre and just burst out laughing, it was so heavy. We ran to the car - 200 yards away to avoid paying - but were soaked through.
Other than a double shower, it's been another quiet day - and another NSD and exercise session.
Kiddies fed - dd has a friend over - and food for big people ready to munch when little person goes home. Will be using A Girl Called Jack as much as I can for ideas on the cheap. Don't want to bulk out the meals with lentils (not always gluten-free, pesky cross-contamination malarkey) or other grains, as I'm keeping off them. So extra veggies all round, but with plenty of bacon today, to keep dh happy.
Today I am grateful for laughter in the rain with dd, for kind words from colleagues, for good (cheap) recipes, for dd getting much more confident in the water, for living in a green country.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hi All
Have paid off another £25 today by working out how much I've saved on buying YS food so far this month and then transferring it from my shopping budget. I had a good one tonight. By using my £3 The Orchard voucher to buy cheese in Mr T, which I selected a brand I knew was on Shoptize for 50p cashback, I've got 350g cheese for free and made a 50p profit. So its things like that I am counting as money to pay to The Debt.
Haven't worked out what % of my total that puts me to yet but on my phone so don't have the formatting ability anyway.
Stewby - confidence is a funny one. I think the more you worry about it the more you feel uncomfortable. Top tips would be to read or listen to something you find motivational just before entering the situation. Or to develop a mantra that works for you.
An old boss of mine used to say 'you are the expert, if you falter during a presentation or forget a fact that you consider key, 9 times out of 10 your audience will never know'
Dolly- ha no thank you. Definately singing 'rain rain go away' at the top of my lungs
AB - lactose seems to be such a common one these days. Very hard to avoid I'm sure. Have you tried Oat Milk? A lot of vegan customers will ask me for that instead of soya. It's cheaper too.
Calling - Well done on paying more off the target!! :T:T
Fmess - I bet it was quite emotional seeing people getting their results today. Hope you have a good dog walk and avoid the rain." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I popped into Morrisons, needed a few items plus a condolence card, used my voucher given to me last week so kept my sfd
Sad afternoon popped card though friends door but later met my friends husband by chance. Very teary eyed now cancer is so cruel. Trying to think if something positive to do to help. Might do macmillian cake thing in September and try check up on him next few weeks until funeral.
Watching Pride again to cheer me up, always find that film uplifting. Pigged out on cake and wine. Physiotherapy tomorrow can't wait.
Stewby I appear confident talk to anyone but interviews and presentations I go to bits, hence why I am still in a rubbish job. Good luck.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220
