Hi guys.
The sun is shining here today, I have two loads of washing out on the line which should be dry soon.
We need to fill our main car up with diesel today and call at Tesco, I will be using the £5 clubcard voucher which came yesterday though. I'm not saving it for doubling up as we don't need anything. There should be some money left over from this months fuel budget so that will get transferred to the CC.
My CC/other debt stands as follows:
CC1 £386.84 (this card is used but shouldn't be)
CC2 £3401.23 (not used and at 0% till February)
CC3 £2663.19 (not used and at 0%)
Debenhams Store Card £54.60 (will be paid off on payday)
Next £77.74 (will be paid off payday and not used again for 12 months or so).
Total owed £6583.60:eek:, this is awful.
I won't be checking in again now until Thursday. See you then all, have a good week.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi everyone!
SFD no. 3 for me today. Have spent a lovely few hours in an eco friendly theme park/forest park that I get free entry to because of my job (it does have its perks!). Took a picnic with us so we didn't spend a thing.
Have my sil and her bf coming for dinner tonight so need to prep the veg soon but am enjoying some quiet time on the sofa just now as the little ones are playing nicely in the play room/study and dh is asleep!0 -
Hi Turtles
Mothernerd - well done on your road kill!
WelshKitty - re the savings. I think whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you are happier having paid the spending card off then it's the right choice. Have a nice dinner party tonight.
Dolly - have a good week off. Good for you updating the figures. You can only face them once they are out on the table.
Fmess -It's frustrating having these running battles with companies. BT and First Utility are both on my sh+T list for that reason. We pay for services so they can run in the background not to have to manage THEM every month. GF brownies sound great.
Hello Abundant nice to see you.
Nanny G - your baking sounds great.
Apple - what did DSS make for dinner?
The Only Girl - Glad you had a relaxing day (at last)
Calling - Glad the physio helped. And great about the refund too.:T
Today have found £1.12 in roadkill. £1 was in the park and 12p next to the self service till. Also claimed back 40p in shopping app.
Done a bit of cleaning. Washing etc. Had a nice 2 hours in the park with friends and the kids all had ice creams which they kindly treated for. Dinner will be a nice low cost veg pasta creation and that's today folks

Hey all...
Food shop today - so no SFD... However - managed some mindfulness - sat out doors eating a meal... mind you - damn flies kept pestering me so kinda railroaded my headspace a little lol. Work outs are going well - 7/14 completed.
I had a few unhealthy things tumble into my basket but they were for my treat meal so I feel ok about it. Keeping a food diary for my PT though so he's gonna see it all - eeep!!!
Lazy night in tonight just chilling out. Have a good one folks x

Hi everyone, 9sfd for me as today I stayed in until dd came and we went to the garden I'm watering for the last time, I came away with a cucumber (I grow these myself!!), lots of vine tomatoes and after I went back to dds house I had acquired some bread and bread rolls that she bought ys. I do love this exchange system her and I have. Going to bed now hope to sleep better tonight, another really bad one last night, don't know what's up with me I don't have any worries, dd thinks my retirement is beginning to hit me now and that's the reason but we will see, at least I don't have to get up for work after a bad night, ha ha.

Yum tomatoes off the vine that sounds delicious. Leaving the workforce after how many years? Must be a massive deal to get used to. Take each day as it comes, I'm sure you'll soon be in the swing of a new routine and be loving the freedom." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Morning turtles
Sorry haven't posted for a couple of days, have been working long hours and then too tired to post, however, at least they have been NSDs which takes my total to 10 so far this month. I'm also having problems getting my computer to charge which means I'm having to post from my phone which is a bit annoying.
A lovely day here after the last two days of constant rain. Hoping that it stays nice as I'm out tonight for dinner and cocktails with some friends and we are going to a place that has a lovely roof terrace.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hello turtles! Sorry I've not been here the last two days, I've mainly been in bed asleep. Poorly is subsiding now though, and reading back over what you've all been up to everyone seems to be doing fantastically well with NSDs, planning and budgeting
Now that we've all been doing mindfulness for a few weeksI thought a different technique that I sometimes remember to use for spending might be useful. It's called STOPP.
So, when you're feeling like you might spend more than you expected - STOPP!
Stop and step back (from the situation or in your mind). Pause, and don't act automatically.
Take a breath - mindfully notice your breath moving in and out.
Observe your thoughts and feelings - how do I feel now? Is what my brain is telling me true (e.g. do I "absolutely have to have" this handbag?!)
Pull back - put in some perspective - how would someone else see this? How will you see it in a day/a week/a month?
Practise what works - play to your principles and values. If you do decide to make the purchase, do so without judgement and because it's something you definitely want or need. If you don't, again don't beat yourself up about it.
Hope that's helpful to some - it definitely helps me not to go overboard when I'm at the start of what could be a shopping spree.
Heading to the supermarket today so not going to be a SFD, but should set us up for the rest of the week. Have a lovely Sunday turtlesBought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!
