Academia - good luck with the fancy dress outfit
wishus - well done on the triathlon
Today is looking to be a SFD, although not declaring it just yet as don't want to jinx it. I've been paid for temping, so transferred lots of money to the credit card, however after the DIY, doing up the house, the tv, the crockery etc etc, it hasn't made the huge dint I would have liked. But I need to get over it.
Productive day so far - took lots of items to the tip, cleared the garage a bit more, tidied the spare room and I've done lots of little odd jobs too. Just about to bake some cakes (if I have cake cases!) to entertain myself. Then I'm hoping to make my first cauliflower cheese for tea as I have lots of cauliflower leftover after buying it for a recipe I didn't get around to at the weekend.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

wishus - well done on the Triathalon.
I have taken the kids to an art gallery today, it was free to get in but I had to pay £2.70 to park. It was right in the town centre so we had a look around and ended up spending £9 on a parka style fold up mac for DD for school, £2 for 7 pairs of trainer socks for DS and £2.50 for 7 pairs of trainer socks for DD. These are to go with their new trainers as neither of them had any.
Then I called in to Boots and spent £68 (insane amount) on a Clinique product - it was a carefully thought out purchase of something that has made a big difference to my skin (had some samples) and I used vouchers so I got 814 points on my advantage card.
Will try to get out cycling after tea but the weather here is mad today, sunny one minute then torrential rain the next.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Thanks for all the suggestions guys - it's a specific themed fancy dress outfit, and I have a specific character I have to go as. It's Alice in Wonderland themed and I was thinking, I could probably do this if I'm the Cheshire Cat as I have some purple/pink things, would just need some stripy tights - don't know how it happened, but that's the character I've been given! Phew!! Yoga mat is fine as apparently the yoga teacher is bringing some (yoga teacher?!?), and I love your idea about the wine, Thrifty
big well done on the triathlon wishus, and Bob - £1000 is a HUGE amount off the debt! Fantastic! Dolly and Fmess, sounds like you've had good days
Poorly today so came home from work early - booked an appointment with my GPs but none free until NEXT Wednesday(!) so will just have to suffer until thenSFD as I've been asleep most of the afternoon! Keep on marching Turtles, we will get there!
Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!

Afternoon Everyone
Just paid another £15 to the debt by account rounding. Have also made 2 PADs on my business account today totalling £25 but that is separate to this.
Havent actually got it in the bank yet but I have another £55 coming via surveys & shopping apps, mentioned before, so that means Im at £223/£643.18 (35%) really.
Today was slow at work, but I baked up a storm/prepped like a maniac for the first 2 hours of the day. I managed 1 tray bake, 1 special cake, 4 loaf cakes, 1 fritattta, 1 tray of sausage rolls, 1 tray of veg rolls, & all the salads from a standing start. Takings didnt hit £100 today, which is a bit worrying, but 1 day of the week like that I can deal with. In other better news, have had a late booking surface for a 1st birthday at the tail end of the month that would be good money, plus deposit payable in advance. She is coming to have a chat this week & hopefully I will convert that.
Also fielding emails for a baby shower in October. Ideally they want a space hire only, which means I get money up front, & husband just needs to let them in. Its 2 weeks after my due date, so a bit scary, but I cant see why we cant make it work.
Both these things combine to make me feel quite positive today.:T
One of my nicest customers today revealed that she is actually a midwife, always handy :rotfl:
Right, off for a cup of tea & 5 mins peace before I start doing lunch boxes etc.

A day of mixed emotions. Had a fairly chilled out day in work for a Monday. Was quite tad naughty popped out to the bank(cough) same time Welsh Rugby team arrived in town. Be rude not to see them ;-)
Bosses very understanding;-). Then had txt was expecting but didn't want my friend lost her battle with cancer. Still hard to take in and for someone in mid forties very sad.
Managed a sfd, looked at my weekend spending and think I may reach or come darn close to my stretch target. Events today make me more determined to enjoy each day and get fit. Back easier today and walked further.
Wishus triathlon well done.
