Get in touch with trading standards. They may already know about them and may be collecting evidence. We had this with some foreign phone company threatening bailiffs etc. years ago.0

Hi my husband has come home to the very same letter as houghton19 and has been researching the internet since 5.30 trying to see if this is a scam and we have googled GGN Mastering Credit and this seems a legit company. As with your wife's order my husband did exactly the same and cancelled his credit card and today received the threatening letter demanding £224.68.
I really need to know if this is a scam as he cant afford to have any bad credit registered against him for his job.
i am soo worried now as these scammers are messing with peoples livelihood and causing serious stress and upset.
Thank you for the comments regarding contacting the FCA it will be done.0 -
We also received the same letter today. Looking into GGN's company profile, it looks like they are a brand/ advertising company and not a debt collector, therefore a bit confusing. I have also now emailed the Financial Conduct authority to report this0

Hi, I also fell foul of the scam in July 2014 but managed to cancel my credit card before they took any money other than the 4.99 delivery. I have not heard anything since but have received same letter from GGN Mastering Credit today demanding £105 to be paid to a bank account stated on letter within 7 days of date of letter which was 6/7/15, so already would be too late. It says they will take legal action and I will be liable to the costs. Is this a scam, cannot have any bad debt in my job and don't want to end up paying more than the amount they ask for? Help0

We have google earthed the address on the envelope in Wakefield which appears to be a sea cadet building. the VAT number I checked and was actually a valid VAT number but registered to GGN Holdings. My husband got the operator to try the number on the website for GGN (at a cost of £* for international call & someone picked up) but when we rang back 5 mins later the numbered was a dead number and the fax number dead too!
It appears to be a directing number operating through the exchange which is prob why operator can connect & we cant.
Just thought if someone else is trying to delve deeper these are just a few things we have tried & stressed over tonight!
email sent to the FCA who appears are going to have an influx of emails in their inbox tomorrow morning and here's to getting resolution and us all being able to sleep.
Not sure if anyone out there can access Companies House to see if the company is actually registered & let us all know.0 -
I have received the same letter demanding £129.67 and like many of you have trawled the internet tonight. I had some transactions last year cancelled my credit card and thought no more about it until I had this letter. I really hope it is a scam. I was going to contact action fraud UK as they got my name and address from somewhere? I will update the blog tomorrow if they could help and I hope we can all get this sorted.0

Had you signed up for these tablets ?0 -
No I didn't sign up for them. That's the worrying thing. I had the unknown transactions on my credit card for £2.75 and £4.95 last March so cancelled my card. I am really worried.0

No need to worry, these are just fishing letters, your credit rating will not suffer and you won't end up in court."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

So you were expecting problems? Is there more to this story? You would not usually to go to the trouble of closing a bank account just because you have taken a free trial of a product and decided not to continue receiving it.0
