I nearly fell foul of their T&C
am on a pricematch deal, taken out 21st may, and connected to 02 on 5th June. T&C say claim 120 days after connection. so sent in bill 5 showing i was connected on 5th oct (bill dated 12th oct). Sent in 25th Oct.
they have rejected as say it should have been on 21st may date
on refaxing all bills and proof of recorded delivery, they have said okay. and confirmed
21st may connection so 120 days is 17th Sept - i need to send in a bill that shows that, so as my bills are dated 12th Sept and then 12th oct, i said thats a bit tight for 12th oct bill, but the 12th Sept one is fine, as long as sent within 30 days of the 17th Sept.
which contradicts their T&C, but thats what they are now saying is okay
So watch out if get phone ported to )2 (then you don;'t get connected until the port is done), as their defintition of connected is very different to what i'd expect

You didn't fall foul of the t&c; they did. They can't make up their own to suit themselves, much as they try to insist they can. If you follow the legal t&c and they refuse to pay, simply send a LBA and then sue. They change their own way of doing things almost daily now - if you follow their particular dish of the day and not the legal t&c you will be left high and dry if they then refuse to pay. By following the legal t&c (as you did the first time) they haven't a leg to stand on - unless you give them one! If you can meet both t&c (the static legal ones and whatever they apply at any given time) so much the better. If in doubt, stick to the proper ones whatever they may say.0

Hi Yatin,
I'm also facing same problem with e2save as they are not honouring Copy invoice sent by CPW to me though terms and conditions say we do not honour 'online and copies' , but Copy invoice is the bill from netwrok provider (CPW). Can you let me know what happened to your case with OSPS , did you go through claims court? as I'm planning to do so because Online billing is defaulted to the account if you purchase CPW - O2 deal from e2save and at the same time they expect you to provide original paper bills , sort of deliberate act of misguidance and confusion..0 -
Thanks mobilejunkie. I will write to CPW abt not initiating my paper bill request. But, as you say, I really doubt, if they will respond to me.

I've bought loads of deals from cpw sites for myself and others and never had any default to internet billing. In any case, since you don't send a claim for several months and then only have to send the latest single bill you have plenty of time to change it if it's wrong.0

Thanks Mobile Junkie for your reply , I was told by CPW person that E2save should honour online billing as they them self request it as default, i think it is for O2 deals from e2save as it is served by CPW - O2 it self.0

No, they have mislead you.
You do need to opt in for online billing when buying through e2save.0 -
Also some news; O2 contracts with cpw now go to O2. As of about September cpw stopped administering new O2 contracts themselves.0

Please can any cashback experts help.
I purchased a 12 months free line rental cashback phone from onestopphoneshop on 2nd June 2007. First cashback claim due at 120 days following connection.
However I asked onestopphoneshop to arrange porting my number to O2 at the point of sale, and gave my PAC code at this time. They dispatched the phone and an UNCONNECTED SIM to me on 2 June 2007. However it was finally on the 26 June 2007 that the number was ported and I was connected to O2 (prior to which the SIM and phone were not connected to any network). My first bill arrived on 6 July 2007, and confirmed that I was connected on 26 June 2007.
In summary
Phone ordered on 2 June 2007
Phone connected on 26 June 2007
First bill dated 6 July 2007.
I sent the bill showing I had been connected for 120 days since my connection date of 26 June 2007 (i.e. 24th October 2007) which was the bill dated 6 November 2007. The claim was received by onestopphoneshop on 26 November 2007. I also sent them the first bill confirming the connection date of 26 June 2006.
However Onestopphone are claiming that my first claim was too late, as they feel that the connection date is 2 June 2007, which is the date the order was placed (despite the fact that I was not connected to anything on that date). 120 days after the supposed connection date of 2 June 2007 is 30 September, therefore they are stating that I should have sent the bill dated 6 October 2007 within 1 calendar month.
I have being doing cashbacks for a while and I follow the T & C's to the letter, this is the first time I have had any disputes.
Do other cashback experts think I was correct in using my date of connection as my "connection date" or do you think the connection date is actually the "order date" and that I am in error?
Should I be persuing this legally if onestopphoneshop dont't agree that the connection date is the date the phone is actually "connected" and don't honour the cashbacks?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I am having a similar problem as “burnoutbabe” above.
Purchased phone online from OSPS on 2 June 2007, gave PAC code and arranged porting at the same time. They sent out a phone and “unconnected SIM”
It took 24 days for them to port the number; I was finally connected on 26 June 2007. The connection date is obviously confirmed on my first bill dated 6 July 2007. Taking my connection date as 26 June, 120 days is the 24th October. I therefore sent my 5 November bill confirming that I had been “connected for 120 days”. Which they received on 26 November.
However they have not accepted the cashback claim and although I am a newbie on MSE, I am experienced with cashbacks and always do significant research and plan my claims in advance to the letter of the T&Cs; so I was somewhat surprised that the claim was not accepted. There customer services told me that the connection date is actually the 2 June 2007, despite the fact that nothing was connected that day, so 120 days from 2 June is 30 September meaning that I should have sent the 5 October bill within a calendar month.
Does anybody else think that the “connection date” is anything other that the date the phone was connected? (I don’t) Does anybody think that connection date is the date the order was placed even if the phone was not “connected” for a further 24 days? (I don’t)
If they don’t agree to validate the claim then I will pursue this legally, as I have rigidly adhered to the T&Cs. Whilst waiting for them to decide about the first cashback, I am unsure whether to send my second (180 day) cashback claim in December 07 (calculated from their dubious connection date) or in January 08 (calculated from the actual connection date) or to send both. Anybody have any advice? Cheers.0
