Hi everyone.
Happy New Year to all.
I have a question that has been asked here and that I was clear with until recently as it seems the rules have changed at OSPS.
Since April 2008, anyone buying a 12 month phone contract with over £100 in redemptions needs to claim Month 6, 8, 10 and 12. Now this all seemed fine when you had to count a clear 6 months since your connection date and then send in the correct bill thereafter.
But now it seems to have changed with connections post 01 April 2008 - it says that you send in Month 6 to start with, but month 1 is the actual connection month. This makes me think I will be sending in my claim form 1 month too early - can someone please help.
For reference:
1) My connection date was 19th June 2008.
2) My first bill from orange is dated 24th June 2008 (charging period on bill is 19th-23rd June and then 24th-23rd July)
3) All subsequent bills are received on the 24th of the month (charging for the 24th-23rd of the following month)
I was going to send the 24th December 2008 bill at first, but then reading the online terms and the terms in the booklet I am thinking I need to send the 24th November bill.
I read I have 60 days to send the correct bill so am I thinking I need to do this by 19th or 24th January 2009 if it is the November bill.
Please help as I am confused - need to figure out which is month 1 to figure out month 6 etc. Is Month 1 for me June 2008 as that is the month I connected or is it July because that is one month after being connected?
I've attached the link that I used to get myself "confused" over this:

November bill. To be absolutely certain I'd need to read all through YOUR t&c, but think I am right (usually am). In any case, what have you got to lose if I'm wrong? You would then still have time to send the December bill if the November one is 'declined (but it wont be for THAT reason).0

Thanks for the reply. This whole process is so confusing.
With everyone else who has been counting six months after purchase (even those who seem to have bought a handset after April 08) to mean six full months of connection led me to question it and think I should send in the December bill instead.
You talk about the terms and conditions but I didn’t get any apart from a booklet that seems really basic and an invoice that says I need to claim my cash back in M6, 8, 10 and 12.
I’ll send November off like you say and hope that works.0 -
Then you didn't follow my groundrules:-

The only t&c which really matter are the ones you sign up to at the time - and if you take the barest of time looking properly they are readilly found to read AND print off AS OR IMMEDIATELY BEFORE you order. If you had studied much at all you would also know that "confusion" is designed and that subsequent t&c (which you do normally get) conflict with the ones AT THE TIME.
Unless you know precisely what you're doing AND who you're dealing with FIRST, don't touch a cash-back scheme. There is more than enough information on here for people willing to put in the research time.0 -

Hi
I emailed OSPS for a detailed explaination on what I need to do and what I need to send in and they have replied quoting my mobile, transaction and customer number. They've said I have to send the November bill to start with and I have to do this within 60 days of the bill date on the statement.
All should be good as I've printed and kept the email for reference should things go wrong.
Thank you for your help.0
