  • Hi all,

Please help, i ordered my phone from OSPS back on the 31-May (a d900i price match deals with 11 months free on 12 months contract), and require the bills for the cashback at 4th months, so which bill should i send and by when??

any idea please?? i would be very grateful.

    Thanks a lot
  • You cant take for granted that yours will be the same as mine but here is my take on it. With mine you send in on month 4 and this is calculated from the date of the contract eg Sept 28th means that you send in the first cashclaim from Jan 28th. The bill you send in is the nearest to the date you send off the claim.

If I'm not mistaken the price match terms state the bill must show you have been connected for 4 months (120) days. In which case you need to make sure your 4th bill will show this.

Here is a link which will calculate when your 120 days is due. You will be able to check with your 4th bill if this date is included.

  • Er... actually they are ignoring the t&c you all signed up to and Old Gold has given you the right answer. As I said many times recently - all hell will break lose when half the people making their first claims get declined by this company as a result!
  • Hi chxly!

I have taken out a similar contract with OSPS on May 29th and am unsure which bill to send in. How did your claim go at the end? Which bill did you send in?
    thanks

Make a note of the months you need to claim

    1. The start date is the date at which your contract start: Start of airtime not bill date
    2. Count in calender months not days.
    3. At the date the cash back is due, photocopy the most recent bill at that date. e.g I use a 3rd Sept bill for something due on the 29th Sept. Month 8 voucher for airtime contract start date of the 29th Jan.
    4. Send the copy via recorded (not special) delivery. Do not send it early there is a £10 charge with the copy of the entire airtime bill send copy of your invoice, a printout of the website's cashback schedule from their site, and a number port letter or bill showing port if you have ported, your voucher (printouts available from the cashback link) filled in with the transaction number, mobile and amount.
    5. Wait 5 days and check the web site to track progress. After 10 working days if no change call them on the geographic number 10 minute wait on hold, then quote your record delivery number and fax them a copy which they will accept.

To make this easier I check all the paperwork when I get the phone, fill in the paperwork and make copies and address labels even the recorded delivery slips etc then as soon as I get the bill I need I copy it complete the paperwork and seal the envelope and post it to arrive the day it is due. This give me the maximum period to chase them if its late or lost. Don't sent it too early and don't leave it too late. Check all the paper work as they charge £10 for incomplete paperwork or early submissions.

I also circle the dates and transaction numbers on the paperwork to make it easier for the people doing the processing.

Be warned OSPS send out the wrong paperwork (I got e2save vouchers and an e2save schedule which is VERY different) and I've had missing voucher and the amounts to claim are often printed incorrectly on the forms. Stick to the offer you signed up for and get organised. Be polite and helpful, you want the cash back.

Can't comment on the Price Match deals the T&C seemed to say miss one and you loose the rest! I've not had one of these.
    Seth.
  • Hi Seth,

Thank you very much for your detailed answer.
In fact, the deal I am on is a Pricematch deal, but I guess/hope your advice of sending the most recent bill after 4 months (120days) should still hold true.
My last bill was from Sept 4th, so I will send this one off recorded at the end of September. Fingers crossed...

    Thanks

hey seth i have had 2 contracts with osps over the past year, i am now on my final claim. Both contracts have the same cashback window, so i sent both claims in one envelope. I have nt done this before and im starting to get paranoid they are going to invalidate my claim. As i have converted one contract to pay as you go already ( served 12 months and like 2days) and the other one im looking to port over this week to phones 4 u vodafone cashback deal.

Am i needlessly worrying? i posted my cashback claim last saturday (16th). Im mainly worried about have 2 claims in one envelope and the fact one contract has effectively ended and i plan to cancel the other one.

I wrote to them at a very early stage listing what I believed to be the procedure and dates of what I needed to do and asked them to confirm this was right. They did this and I have not had a problem. One cashback to go.

I also have one cashback to go when my 12 month contract finishes on 14-Oct-07. Now when is the best time to give one months notice to Orange please?
