Oh I know men that have committed when their girlfriend or wife has got pregnant. The ones not married did marry. The marriages didn't last though

I do too but I also know couples who are still together and happy thirty years later after a "shotgun" wedding. They'd in most cases have married later on anyway and the pregnancy just speeded up the process.

Agreed -<eeek I just agreed with guest !!> however in any good relationship there is decent communication so often "bad sex" is symptom of other things not as they should be in a relationship rather than a problem in itself.

Often it's not the sexual performance or frequency itself but lack of communication and intimacy that is the problem as lack of both lead to "bad sex".

You're the second person this week to agree with me and be shocked by this :) - is this the first sign of the coming of the apocalypse?!

and conversely i agree with you about other aspects of the relationship which might affect communication and lack of intimacy.

It's not a simple solution, but i think there are some straight forward steps that can begin the journey of recovery in any relationship (well any outside of actual sociopaths)

But maybe in those cases the man did want children or was undecided until one came along. I am talking about men that either definitely did not want children or were unsure (but not that keen)

Two of my mates definitely didn't want children. Both ended up married to women that already had four children...

I heard an expression once that has some degree of truth in it...

“Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Women marry men with the hope they will change. Invariably they are both disappointed.” (Attributed to Einstein, but snappy phrases are often misattributed).
