Good morning AFK
I have myself most of a day off, so I am sat in bed with a coffee listening to the end of an audiobook
What is on your " to do" list today?
Bexster0 -
Morning Bexster
Well, first I had a sleep in - long one in a while, but now up and ready for todays tasks.
I need to phone about my work pension, 2 advisors commented, but both have said, they can't comment too much  which to me, I'm thinking on the negative side  somethings not right.
After that, my mum has taken a leaf out of my book and is doing a declutter - just a small one, but its a start, so may go along and help.
Hope you have a good day.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Hello AFK!
So your first " to do " was a long lie in✅
Hope you got some clarity on the pension. I'm afraid you know my view on all this. Frankly, the fact that none in my experience can give a straight answer to a straight question tells me all I need to know.
Good luck if you've gone to help your mum, I'm glad you are busy spreading the good word re: decluttering :T
Off to do a bit of w--- this evening. Only a few hours though.

  :wall:- Does that answer your question re pensions
w... drinking ? :question:Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Lol! W...drinking is not a word as far as I know!:rotfl:
I survived the w thing. Another few hours today, but an early bath this afternoon ( literally I hope, I have a bit of a pamper planned).
I'm really not going to say anything further on pensions. I know there are many on these forums who are in love with them as an investment vehicle. For the "free" money. Frankly, nothing in life is free...:o
Hope you have another " to do" to tick off today ✅

Lovely morning here, so far, and feeling good. Maybe I can get the clutter out my shed
which would be a good job done. Then either grass cut or shed/fence painted.
That's all in my mind for now, let's see if the body copes :rotfl:
Enjoy your pamper day.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Good luck AFK. I have some w... stuff to do first. Home mid afternoon for a bit if indulgence.
Hope the weather stays dry for the grass cutting.
Bexster0 -
Grass cut - that's side, back and backside :rotfl: only front left. Kept threatening to rain, and started so cleared up tools. And that was enough !!!
Got my 4 Year anniversary badge today, so glad I started on this journey, really keeps you motivated, but no easy task.
Motivation now required for decluttering and sorting out hours of work, not to mention pension :rotfl:

 Hello AFK - I have not read from the start so forgive any questions you have already addressed please.
I'm just ahead of you I think, having given up work in Feb and I think you have popped in on my diary - I am part way through decluttering but also buying more (). I have sent five of these (link) to the local thrift shop so far - about half-way through my clothes and shoes (just the low-slung fruit so far - no longer fits, bought for work and what was I thinking). It's just so dull, but I suppose I must keep going.
I might look for a Xmas job to top up my NI conts for this year as I was opted out of SERPS for most of my career and so topping up these last three years is worth £4.65 a week for each year in my SRP - Have you thought about your SRP yet?Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
My new diary is here0
