Hello
I am glad last week ( and the previous couple of months) are over. Less work and now exam marking for three weeks. After that, off until early September. The weekend forecast is set to be good so fingers crossed.
I will enjoy my day. Marking outside, meeting a friend for lunch then a little work for a couple of hours this early evening.
Have a great day

Ha, the usual - wait a minute . . . :rotfl:
Sunny then by the time I got downstairs and opened the door, I was met with . . . headed back to collect my brolly.
I think this may be catching (no chance my employers, would pay the same though !!!)

Managed to get today off and what a day - beautiful !!!
Spent the morning over the calculator, running hours, days and figures by me.
What do I have/need to work, what do I want to work, what this, what that. Phew !!!
Finally came to a short list, so now initial application for reduced hours submitted,
that said they will come back to me with their thoughts and propositions.
I expect this process to take around 3 months, although have no idea how long it can take.

Good for you AFK re: hours. Depending on how likely you think it is they won't offer what you are wanting, it might be worth considering shopping around for a new role that will play with the hours you want.
It doesn't sound like the perfect job by some distance.
Hope you enjoy the weekend weather

I hope to get something that will suit me, I have given a wide range, fingers crossed.
It was the perfect time to apply as they are interviewing for the shortage of staff we have (left and never replaced) so that's 7 new staff members, so hopefully they can include my preferences before allocating their shifts.
The job(s) itself is great, just a pity they don't listen, as it could be such more productive / easier on the BP if they just took a few ideas and ran with it, somehow they are not listening.
All quiet here, not sure if sun is going to break through or pour down any minute, whatever I will enjoy anyway.
Hope you all have a lovely relaxing weekend.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Hello AFK
I also hope you also get something you are happy with hours wise. Myself and the OH are looking at places to buy! Only downside is we may need a mortgage
I have persuaded him about the merits of not having a large mortgage, and getting rid of it quickly however.
I do not relish the thought of another mortgage, however small. But another 6-12 months before we dive into that, so I'd better take earning a bit more seriously in the short term.
Exciting, if changing times ahead.
Hope you have a good day, and had a good weekend

Wow !!! :happyhear exciting times ahead for you then .
A small mortgage is not so bad (says she with none) Just not so long ago I was at another property auction   (that's me bidding) :rotfl:luckily I was outbid
But would be ready to do it all again, if the chance arose.
On the reduced hours front - not even had an acknowledgement yetfrom my email, so next is a paper application.
