I normally lurk on the MF and pension boards.
Delurking to stay Well Done A Frayed Not. I used to see you on the MF challenge and read your diary every now and then.
What an inspiration to buy a property on your own at 52 and pay it off so quickly.
Well Done!0 -
Thank you Durban

My diary really helped keep focus on my goal
Now just having a few months breathing space before deciding on my next venture.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Good morning AFK.
I'm sorry to hear you are unwell. I have been struggling to log in for a couple of days but finally here I am.
Bexster0 -
Morning Bexster,
was wondering if you were off on another of your venturesHope you are well.
Just back from gp's - so more pills, and I'm off for a week, (pressures and stress,
has finally taken it's toll on me)
Mind still working overtime, and need a bit of help, deciding what to do next,
i'm at a loss for now, probably because i'm not a 100%.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

So here I am again, still visiting gp surgery and still off work.
Have energy bursts of around 5 mins, then nothing.
Speaking of energy, went through Cheap energy club, filled in details, and came up with what I would pay monthly, going to a new deal (still with same energy supplier) - that was early Feb, now received 2 emails (Gas + Elec switched) and monthly D/D will be . . . . WT* - 57% MORE !!! with me being charged the much lower ratePeeved off to say the least
now outwith my 14 day cancellation period
as they took 7-8 weeks to tell me that.
I'm not up for another battle yetas still have my ongoing battle with my d/glazed front door, with 10 year guarantee, and them telling me - its only 5 years guarantee for the glass :rotfl:  I am, just so glad I never bought all my new DG windows from them :j
Think it's a "stay in day today", as it's heavy rain today.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Sorry to hear that you are unwell AFK, I hope you are feeling better soon.
Like you, I have experienced work-related stress and low mood too over the past decade or so, it comes and goes. Finally made the decision to apply for a new job and have an interview in May . Being still 'middle aged' it means having to relocate the whole family and that is not something to be done lightly. But the alternative is another 17 years (retirement age is 67 for us ) in a job that makes me ill. Ironically, I love my work itself but some people make it awful.
I hope you find a way through your troubles

Thanks ElmoR,
reading it back, probably sounds worse than it is. The lack of energy gets to me, but that means the pills are working, as they are meant to slow me down
I also love my work, and wouldn't consider a change at this late stage, but have been considering reducing my days now the mortgage is gone, but that is hard when you are asked if you can help out with any overtime, usually any night for 3 hours or 12 hour shifts at the weekends, all that on top of a full working week, is just too much. Not the first time I've had my coat on, then felt guilty, so coat comes off again
Good Luck with your interview in May, (long time to wait) and relocation could be a lovely fresh start.
No chance of early retirement for you at all? I only ask as too many friends I know all younger than me, are retiring early or are already retired. Good on them I say :T.
Anyway lovely sunny day here today and in a better mood, got Gp again on Tuesday, let's hope BP is behaving itself.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

Been a busy bee, decluttering the house, it's a start with plenty still to go through, but as I said it's a start, being pretty slow as still not a 100% health wise.
Just popping in to try and catch up on all the diaries. Hope everyone is well.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190
