Hahaha an equivalent Insignia even has a higher road tax VED than the 325i. Markedly slower and significantly less power as well yet it still has worse MPG figures and more co2 emissions. Clearly shows the poor level of Engineering that goes into Vauxhalls.

Where are you looking? Do you need me to include links? The BMW 325i does 33MPG whereas a 1.8 Insignia does 37MPG?!

Not even sure where Astras and Insignias come into the mix anyway -- the OP was originally citing VW Ups and Audi A1s.

(Although to start from there and end up with a Freelander, perhaps the 325i wasn't such a silly idea after all! :))

You're looking at the older 325i. I am referring to the newer one from 2008 onwards with direct injection. Also only compare manual to manual or auto to auto. The 325i (08o onwards) is more fuel efficient, lower tax bank and significantly more powerful than a 2008 on wards Insignia 1.8 litre petrol.

Here you go incapable people who cannot do a simple like for like comparison and getting their metric/imperial units mixed up. There you can see the BMW has a lower VED tax band (and hence lower carbon emission) and a HIGHER combined mpg figure.

Funny how people who can't afford superior cars defend their crappy Vuaxhalls till no end.

ChumLee I suggest you go back to your education and perhaps study something a little more technical seeing that you don't understand the difference between Imperial and Metric.

Ever hard of SI units or Le Système International d'Unit!s? I think not.

Darkmatter. Why not be honest with us all and tell us what you actually want out of this forum?

Do you just want to waste your time creating AEs to see how long it takes to be found out, or do you want to be a useful member of society?

If it's the first, then well done, you've achieved your goal. I'm sure you'll be PPRd soon with your abusive posts where you've been called out.

If it's the latter, then you need to grow the !!!! up.
