Can't understand why so many people want to be first in line. I'll be waiting until at least a few million heroes have gone over the top before I put my pc in harm's way...0

It never fails does it in consumer land! - there are always the lemmings desperate to be the first....to get all the problems.
In business to business land the opposite is the case. Virtually impossible to get anyone to accept anything that is "new" lest it might not work properly.0 -

Ive had a pc since windows 98 and updated to everyone in turn never once had any issues. So I dont see why sitting back this time will be any different, its not a case being a lemming. I like to stay upto date with tech' if i have never had any previous bad luck with operating systems why should i be worried now.All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

I did this to get rid of the icon. Does it stay "gone" though?
Hope there weren't any other important things included within that update:(Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Only just saw the icon, and reserved it.
I read that Windows 10 was going to be free a few months ago, and was really eager to upgrade two Vista tower machines. What a bummer, 7 and 8 only!
So how do people who build their own system from scratch install Windows 10? BUY a Windows 7 or 8 OS, and then get a FREE upgrade?
Obviously I want a free Non-Upgrade version, WITH Media Center.
Windows 8 was pretty crummy, but I only paid about £25 for it, and they threw in the Media Center if you were quick about it. A real pain, if you put the directory for Temporary Internet files anywhere else except drive C: , the Store doesn't work.0 -
