So, your solution is to put in a 3rd party add-on, hmmm...
The question I answered was what is in Windows 7 which isn't in 10.
I suppose if you're a Microsoft evangelista/fanboi then all things they say must be taken as the gospel, but Microsoft have always been very short-sighted with regards to the future, and stripping features out shows a lack of creativity on their part.
Are you an Elvis fan then - I've now a vision of you with a quiff, going "uh-huh..."?
A quiff. 10 years too late with my hair.
I could care less if people want/dont want W10.
Its a thread about W10. If people dont want it,then dont get it.
Why feel the need to post about it?0 -
Not sure why transparency would be a deal breaker, but, obviously it is. There are always going to be W7 users hanging on for as long as they can, just like the XP lot. No doubt getting increasingly smug about the fact as time goes on.
It's their choice and they are entitled to it.
Anyway, enough about the Old..............W10 I've not found anything that hasn't worked, except the Calendar/Mail app. For some reason it's not syncing Gmail or Google calendar properly. Anyone else used it for those?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

If you click the volume icon on the task bar,is is slow to open up the volume slider?
Mine is laggy but I'm only running 2GB of RAM at present (doing a new build)0 -

Not having that trouble with it on mine. It has 6GB RAM, but, I'm not sure that would be the problem unless you have loads open.
Its not a huge issue.
I will be doing a fresh install when the parts arrive for the new machine.
I only have 1 stick of DDR3 @ 2gb. So im thinking that's the issue.
CPU is quad core and has plenty of grunt, recent new SSD too.
About 1 second delay on the slider appearing. Doesnt sound a lot but I'm used to it being snappier in 8/8.10 -
