I'd personally not reserve it unless you have to have the latest thing ASAP. Wait a couple of months for the dust to settle and then get the upgrade from the ISO which is current at the time.

Thanks for the link. I wasn't very hopeful but I ran the ReserveWin10.cmd file and within a few minutes the Windows 10 logo appeared on the task bar!

I only loaded Win7 on an old desktop so I could play around with the first official version of Win10 before I put it on my main machine.

More and more impressed with Windows 10.

Just been d/l apps from the Store (some of which I ran on Windows 8.1 tablet) and they are running fine inc. games like CSR Racing and Candy Crush Saga

    I'll bite :)

Meh, W7 is supported for another five years yet and five years in the Linux world is a millennium.
Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.

    Transparency (glass) effects.
A consistent GUI with a common style throughout.

    In a widow's title bar?

ie. Consistently through the system, rather than just the task bar.

Any maybe on windows backgrounds (like you can set the opacity in Linux).

There's word that they're planning to remove it from the task bar too.

(Yes, I've used Windows 10, but thanks for the snidey-sneery anyway.)

So, your solution is to put in a 3rd party add-on, hmmm...

The question I answered was what is in Windows 7 which isn't in 10.

I suppose if you're a Microsoft evangelista/fanboi then all things they say must be taken as the gospel, but Microsoft have always been very short-sighted with regards to the future, and stripping features out shows a lack of creativity on their part.

Are you an Elvis fan then - I've now a vision of you with a quiff, going "uh-huh..."?
