Thanks to everyone for their input including i have spoken, which you did, and i have listened.

The BIOS and all other drivers have been checked and are up to date and as pointed out Dell doesn`t support win 10 on N5050.
I`m running the latest build 10586 and cannot return to win 7 since I upgraded to win10 in July.

Anyway whatever I`ve done today seems to have done the trick and so far the wifi has connected from reboot, restart and from hibernate.

Since the last update I`ve noticed on the start screen at the top left hand corner little snippets of info have started to appear which weren`t there before.
Seems MS are still trying to get there with each update.

Can somebody remind me about downgrading from 10. Somebody tried to convince me that you can go back (subject to having the media and original license) to what you upgraded from AT ANY TIME. The previous license (e.g. 7) doesn't get wiped by 10. Its still there.
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

If you have a win 7 backup disk you probably could but anything pre installed by the manufacterer you can`t.
It`ll ask you for your product key.
There is an program for finding your key for everything on your pc but on mine it only found the win10 and an old office 2007 key and a Nero key.

It`s called Magical jelly bean key finder

I'm talking about from a license point of view. Your original (W7, W8, W8.1) license is still valid (that's what I'm trying to confirm).

AFAIK, if you've upgraded from a qualifying product to Windows 10 then after 30 days have elapsed your original license is 'consumed' into the Windows 10 license. You could re-install WIndows 7 but it wouldn't activate using the preview key.

Just had a scan of MS forums. As long as you've got a suitable image and you have the original 7,8,8.1 key there's nothing to say you cannot go back. Even this MS page says (after 30 days)... "you’ll need to use a different recovery option."

Interesting, that suggests that the upgrade to W10 doesn't kill the Win7 product licence key after 30 days. That's quite handy really.

You are able to reinstall Windows 7/8/8.1 on the same PC - but if you have a RETAIL installation - you are unable to transfer it on to another device - so you are losing part of the benefit that you have, when compared to an OEM version !!
So, what I am saying is that you are treated exactly the same whether you have a pre-installed version of Windows/OEM Win7/8/8.1 installed as if you had paid (up to) £200 for a full retail version....after 12 months

That's not what the article says. It says you can't transfer the Windows 10 licence you have got through the free download. Your licence for your Windows 7/8 remains exactly as it was. As in the article title...
Windows 7 and 8 retail users can't transfer Windows 10 after a year
As far as reverting back to Windows 7 (or 8 if you're that way inclined I suppose) after the 30 days, you can by doing a clean install. I've done it, but I did have to download the relevant drivers from the manufacturer.

I also reverted back to Win 7 doing a clean install. This was after having Win 10 on for over five weeks. I had an OEM version and used the original Windows 7 product key; it was accepted without any problem. I am still being asked to upgrade to Windows 10.

I did not have any problem with drivers. Just used the ones that came with the mobod CD.
