Windows 10

I have noticed since the latest update 10586 I`m having a lot of problems getting the wifi connection.
It doesn`t seem to be able to find it on boot up and when it does appear it can`t connect.
I have to reboot sometimes 3/4 times for it to eventually find the network.
On my mobile phone it`s picked up instantly.
any ideas?0 -

Computer make/model? Are you able to test an ethernet connection (just to rule out other network issues).0 -
I upgraded to Windows 10 and lasted a week before going back to
Windows 7.
It slowed down my computer and basically just seemed an exercise in flogging more Microsoft products and allowing the computer significantly more intrusion into my internetting habits.
And the big huzzah - Cortana - is an absolute joke.Voice recognition ? I'd have been quicker using semaphore.
The cons outweighed the pros and Windows 7 has always been perfectly good enough for my needs.0 -
Best way to install win 10 is via a clean install rather than over the top of a product .Add Classic Shell for ease of use .
Would i revert to win 8/7 not in a million years no point at all .0 -

Dell N5050, Win 10, latest build 10586, latest update installed today.
Will test with ethernet cable tomorrow.
Should have added other laptop an Acer running Win 8
no connection issues.0 -
Dell N5050, Win 10, latest build 10586
Dell say they are not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product, warning "If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected."
May be worth first checking your BIOS is up-to-date then try installing the last Windows 7 wi-fi drivers release by Dell.0 -

I wouldn't revert to Win 8 from 10, but I wouldn't upgrade(?) from 7 to 10.0 -

Thanks for that but the connection problem only started on the very latest build win 10 upGRADE.
I suspect a more likely cause is the Broadcom network adaptor.0 -

2010 - Certainly do make sure the BIOS is up to date, and also try uninstialling and reinstalling the WiFi drivers. Of course, you've already reset the router, haven't you? Dell have said you're on your own, that's not Windows' fault.0
