I have 2 Windows 8 machines and will happily update once it's been out a few weeks.
Seems I will have to update to 8.1 first though, what a faff, don't see why 8 should be excluded when 7 isn't!
Not sure if this has been posted but here's a run down of what you'll loose when you upgrade to Win 10 and what versions you'll be geting... :

Need to research proper backing up too as at the moment only docs/photos are automatically done/some device drivers saved externally and both machines arrived without an install disc.
(i'm not totally irresponsible- I do have a friend who works in IT who would help me out!)
Any reason you are not on 8.1 already?0 -

MS wants everyone to be on the latest version of each OS before the update. So Win7 + SP1 or Win 8 (With 8.1 Update) in order to be upgraded.

looking down that list of features, there's rather a lot that I (and a lot of people) won't use due to the hardware and/or BIOS constraints... makes you wonder what MS are really up to............Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

How would you reinstall 7 now?
Thanks for reply I have acronis backups of my windows 7, but at the same time if I upgrade to 10 I want to be able to revert back to windows 7, if 10 doesn't work the way I like.
