calleyw,
You open your curtains and open your window a bit and get some fresh air and sunshine in. That is an order from your mummy whitewing.
I didn't like myself but my DH still came along and loves me. You know what is actually happening. Your unworthy-self is attracting these people because that is what you are used to but your newly-emerging sensible-take-pride-in-yourself-self is just subconsciously putting them off because you know you are worth more than a partial relationship.
Give yourself time.
And do some tidying/cleaning. Get fresh air and sunshine into 25 places that currently aren't experiencing it (that's 5 an hour for the next 5 hours). Go, girl.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I sort of want one of these, but I don't really NEED it:

I wouldn't be surprised if it were to cost twice the price of one, so you might just as well buy two machines!
Luckily,
I have very few whites, but I never split my washing up anyway. Most things get washed at 30degrees, so the colour doesn't run. It doesn't seem to run even at 40degrees. And can include jeans!
Maybe it's modern materials?(I just lurve spiders!)

Print it off for DH and make sure he reads it!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Right back again.
I have
1) cleaned the bathroom excluding the floor. Even put soda crystals/vinegar and boiling water down the sink and shower plug hole
2) showered and dressed
3) Made the bed
4) Opened the curtains in the living room and bedroom and even opened the living room window
5) load of washing in the machine. Stuff from the bathroom and my dressing gown that I did most of the cleaning in LOL!!!
Pyxis think have covered my end of the deal :rotfl:

So, the infamous wedding happened yesterday. My dress was okay, my hair less so, but it did the job. Me? The wedding itself was lovely. The bride is very creative and everything was designed to make it feel like a simple country wedding and her dress was gorgeous. The reception was in the grounds of a castle and it was nice and pretty with loads of amazing canap!s but it was byo drink (even soft drinks which was difficult as DH doesn't need much fluid and I need loads) and it started to get cold later on. I just felt awkward and out of place though. All the girls there were those stunning girls who look like they've stepped out of a magazine and they all knew each other so it was difficult to make conversation. The rest were DH's family but I felt like I was a bit of a spare part and had to work so hard to make conversation. DH and his brother don't get on and I struggle with his girlfriend who scares the bejeezus out of me. Then I was too tired to bother. We left quite early and I was relieved. I can normally make small talk nicely (I don't like it, but I can fake it), but I need the person to give me something to work with otherwise I'm floundering. I'm not naturally outgoing and normally I feel like the person in the group that nobody is talking to or interested in talking to and it seemed worse than normal yesterday. I felt very alone and very beige again. Even in a great dress I blended into the scenery.
There was another event today but I told DH to go without me. I feel totally guilty that he didn't go either but I just couldn't face another day of being a total outsider.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Well done calleyw:j
See you can get things done with a little persuasion:D.I do understand how easy it is to lets things slide when you live on your own,I am in the same position since my sons left home and also think whats the point a lot of the time when there is nobody to see.I admit,I do not always shower if I am not going out that day.I suppose it is easier for me as my boys are very good at keeping in touch and visit a lot,I can imagine how hard it would be if I did not have them.I do understand you just want someone to care about you,it is what we all want if we are honest,to feel loved and cared for.Maybe the speekers meeting you enquired about will be a start please try and go,if you want to meet someone you need to get out there, they are not going to come knocking on the door0 -

I'd feel awesome if I could do that all today
Go you!
*hugs and thanks to Georgie*
I'm feeling better today - last night was almost a disaster, my metamour had to look after everyone. I had a complete energy crash and sat and cried as ppl were getting ready to head home. The week just caught up with me, and maybe a lil bit of emotional drop from my rather lovely 'friend' during the week. Oh, and hormones.
Trying very hard to not feel guilty:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

Thanks for comparing me to Josef Mengele :rotfl: as he held the rank of Hauptstürmführer
I will admit my ignorance and had to look it up.
