WaS, I'll penguin this bit I completely believe the psychosis was always there for my friend too. She had a chaotic upbringing but not as bad as yours (i think? hard to really say). The big example that springs to mind is her ironing her tummy as she thought 'as she thought it would make her slimmer' - I believe that was the psychosis. There were other things, but I cant remember them atm.
When we look back at high school, all of our conditions were present. None of them got diagnosed till into adulthood. Though I think she had a psychiatrist while at school, so I could be wrong about that. My first psych appt is on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Wondering if I should ask for a psych with an awareness of BDSM?:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

WaS, I cant personally relate to your penguin, but I can in that my best friend used to do something similar. She enjoyed doing it and got a release from it. She did it so often her arms were covered in scars and she now has 2 full sleeves (tattoos) to cover them.
I love how you're so honest and open, and you explain things so well. I understood to a certain extent why she did it, but you've helped me understand it even more.
Hugs to those that need them.0 -
