Evening all
What positive thing are you going to do tomorrow then Calley? One little chore or task to complete which then at the end of the day you can give yourself a pat on the back for achieving.

I've gone from dancing happy this morning to emotionally crashed through the floor now. Physically crashed at 10, friends left so I could sleep and now I just feel !!!! - like I'm being more work to my friends. I know it's not true, but it's how I feel atm:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0

if I had lots of guests or visitors or even shock horror a relationship ( aint never going to happen but there you go)then I would probably be tidier as would not want them see my dirty knickers lying around or a dirty loo or shower.
I just think I have to come to the conclusion that I am waste of space a mess and just to messed up to give a flying monkeys. And who want me as I'm a mental/nut case.
Big Hugs to you (((Calley))) You are NOT a metal/nut case OR a waste of space, but you do sound extremely down on yourself.Do you think you would benefit from seeing a counsellor perhaps?
I read the above and think just by doing little things day by day it might be an inprovement, even a slight one, but it's something, it'd be a start. Things like picking your knickers up off the bathroom floor for instance. I've got to be honest, and admit that I can't get my head around that one as it's not hard to bend down and pick them up and put them in the washing basket or machine....but, one thing I admire about you Calley, you're honest!
I appreciate that when you're feeling so down, it is SO hard to get motivated, and to think "what's the point?", but maybe it's worth a try to see if it makes you feel any better having your surroundings more relaxing?0 -
Big Hugs to (((dragonette)))and to (((Katy))) too. Hope you all manage to have a good nights sleep.0

My laundry basket is in my bedroom not in my bathroom. So if I strip off to have a shower I leave it all on the bathroom floor.
What that I big fat lazy cow that no could like or even love!!!! Yeah fab thing to be.
I thought I was getting better but I am just think I am sliding backwards again. just feel so crappy and not sure why.

I get a sense of achievement when I have a tidy kitchen or bathroom. But it never stays clean and needs doing again :rotfl:
I do let it get bad and then blitz and then let it go back to the same.

Housework is a total waste of time; if you can afford it pay someone else to do it and enjoy yourself instead. Otherwise just do it if you are expecting someone that matters or are afraid it's so filthy you'll get the plague.
As for knickers - give up wearing them - it saves a lot of washing and the ventilation is better for you . I own just one pair which I use when I visit the doctor. No women wore them until about 100 years ago.0 -
Thanks Georgie.
Elsewhere, I do wish sometimes I could leave mess, especially mess that doesn't matter, but it stresses me it to see it. I think that's what Calley means when she says she gets down about it. When you can see it there you know at some point you will have to tackle it, but you can't get the motivation to do so it is hard. It then throws you in a spin if you know someone is coming over as you have to tackle the whole lot at once.
For me, paying someone else to do it wouldn't work as I'd have to get it all done before they arrived so they didn't think my house was a mess!

Really? Weird. The only reason I get stressed about housework is because my husband moans about the dust and I would rather spend my time playing RPGs . (I don't suggest he does it himself because he's pretty good with other chores. I do moan however if he neglects these to pursue his hobbies so... comme si, comme sa) If he didn't exist I suspect the dust would be knee-high. I don't mind gardening - but it's a lot more satisfying.

Who are they?
Sorry Katy - I'm not good at putting myself in other people's place or empathising. But we only get one life and think of all the fun you can have if you're not busy cleaning!0 -

As for me, I threw out two whole giant bin bags of rubbish and washed all the dishes, but it still looks a tip. I don't know how I manage to accumulate all this junk... Still, am making progress. If I do this a few more times, I might start to make a more visible dent.0
