Aw Mel, big big hugs. What a horrendous situation to be in.
Surely they have to give you concrete evidence that these so called rent arrears actually exist? As you can prove that they don't, then surely there's no way they can evict you.
I wish there was something I could do to help, I really do.0 -

that time it got to court, they looked at it, looked at my bank statements asked where some of my payments were on the court documents, told em off and we all went home.

Hi all! I think I need some help with a new friend, whom I shall call Betty. Have known her a few months and think I really get on with her, as we have several things in common.
However, just lately, I have started to feel uneasy, in that certain things she says don't ring completely true. It started when she was due to work with someone else, let's call her Jean, on directing an aspect of the AmDram performances. Jean is someone I know very well, and she has had a lot of experience with this aspect, before she moved to this part of the world, and joined our AmDram group.
Anyway, the new friend, Betty, told me and two others, that she'd had a very autocratic email from Jean, saying that Jean hoped Betty would be able to take direction from her, or words to that effect. Betty took umbrage to this, went to the Producer, and the upshot was that Jean was asked to forgo that aspect and to take on another role.
Well, I know Jean, and it really wasn't like that at all.
In addition, there have been other things, like Betty's relationship breaking down, like her source of unearned income, like dire things happening to her, health-wise, that are starting to not ring true. While I haven't discussed her with anyone else, little comments that others have made have led me to believe that others are noticing too.
Now, I think that Betty is, deep down, a very nice and kind person, and I can often see that side of her, but I'm sensing that she has MH problems.....lots of little things point to this.......and I think she is very, very lonely and has very low self-worth, so has to big things up to get noticed, or so she believes.
How do I handle this? If she carries on, people may distance themselves from her, the complete opposite to what I think she really wants, or worse still, they may turn on her if they think she's making things up, which would be disastrous for her mental health, obviously.
Has anyone any experience of this, and if so, what's the best approach to make?
(By the way, Jean, bless her, senses all is not well with Betty, and doesn't bear a grudge).(I just lurve spiders!)

Big hugs Melly, must be so frustrating having to deal with so many idiots!
I've just been looking for images of grey hair with coloured tips as I'm trying to convince my Mum (who has curly 'silver' hair) that purple tips will look all kinds of cool, and not like a blue rinse, and I'm amazed that practically all of the pictures on a Google images search are of young girls who've purposely dyed their hair grey??? I suppose it's another of those 'you want what you don't have things' i.e. I'm always trying to curl my straightish hair and all my Mum wants is nice straight hair! Maybe all of these girls want their brown hair to be a 'cool' grey colour, yet when they go grey they'll be dying it brown?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Cross posted with you Pyxis! I'm not really sure how I'd handle that situation TBH, rather than just not taking her words as gospel whenever she spoke, maybe the untruths are helping her work through some stuff so it's more beneficial to her to tell porkies rather than face reality?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
