Don't be embarrassed WaS! I have a big ugly scar on my head that I hate people seeing. I always have to warn hairdressers about it as it comes as a shock if you aren't expecting to find it. They always worry they will hurt me, but I can't feel it.
I have stuck with the hairdresser I have now as he had a good look at it and asked lots of questions rather than pretending to ignore it.
I'm sure you would find someone who you feel comfortable with. And if you try someone and don't get on with them you never have to see them again!

You would look lovely with them, code! As I said I still wear my bright pink hair extensions, usually one at the side of my head. I am taking a leaf out of Milliefleur's book and I am going to be fabulous at 90, still wearing jeans, with bright hair and goth make up!

You are right Katy. It isn't like psoriasis is contagious and I am sure loads of people with it go to hairdressers. I used to have a friend who was a home hair stylist cut it for me and she said she she see's it all of the time. All it means is they have to use gentle treatments. She also said I could actually dye it still, it would just sting a lot on the bits that were raw. I am not quite brave enough for that!

You aren't too old code, you are only slightly older than me, and that would mean I would be too old, which I refuse to believe!

Heh - let's make a pact that we'll all grow old disgracefully then.

    That's a deal, Code!

I have decided that I will never be too old for anything, and neither will anyone on this thread! I wear clothes aimed at people in their 20's for the most part and I live in jeans. WaSp cringed at my pink hair once and said "But you are 46!" I looked at him with his biker boots, black jeans, Metallica t shirt and long blonde hair in a pony tail and told him to look in the mirror. He is 8 years older than me and he got my point! Neither of us are supposedly age-appropriate in our appearances and long may it continue!

Oooh the rainbow hair is so pretty! I actually just love the purple/blue bits on the top the most. I wonder if I got some chalks I could copy it?! But then I'm worried about using that stuff because what if I got caught in rain, would it end up all over me?!

I'm 30 but look younger, I still get ID'd now and again and it doesn't bug me as much as it used to. :) I'm very happy to grow old disgracefully though, I don't think I'll ever grow out of wearing stupidly bright clothes! It's dress down day at work and I'm sat here in a pink top and cardi with black jeans that have big pink and orange hibiscus flowers all over them! And pink sparkly Toms! :D

    To that!

Half the time (most of the time tbh!) I still dress like I did when I was an art student....skinny jeans/leggings, rock/quirky tees (today's is Cookie Monster as a DJ saying 'Me Love Vinyl' and checked shirts!

Eta: just read WaSp has a long blonde pony tail....I wish D still had his long hair!

Hahahaha! That sounds amazing, Birdie! I bet you look good!

One funny thing about having MPD is when the others are near I tend to lean towards dressing as they do because they influence who 'I' am. I have a set of pink clothes that Lucee loves and a onesie that is a leopard print with little ears and a tail which she always opts for. A lot of my others are in their very early 20's which could go some way to explaining my dress sense and overall (lack of) maturity at times! My style is very goth and when I look in the mirror inside the inner house I am still very gothic in appearance but everyone has individual styles. I actually love the diversity and wouldn't change it for the world. Thanks to Lucee I will probably still be putting bows in my hair when I'm 80!

Hahaha! Both WaSp and I have hair down to the middle of our backs! We have always had long hair, in my case with a fringe and neither of us plan on shortening it. WaSp is lucky because he has never lost his hair, he is the only family member not to be bald by 40. He is 55 this year and he still has a full head of it. I don't suit short hair really because my face is quite long and my hair is one of the few things I really like about myself.
