**looks up from colouring in corner of fort with mouthful of crisps and covered in crumbs from mum's homemade sausage rolls" Oppsie, were we trying to be good today? I woke up in a carp mood today after horrendous night terrors and fixed bad feelings with excess food and coffee - not ideal I know, but I wanted to make sure I was not snappy at my mum and was suitably helpful instead of lazy for once.
Loving the hulk outs katy! - My hubby asks me if its a "hulk smash" day sometimes. The only positive side to the 10 tonnes of rubble and concrete in my garden at the moment is that "hulk smash" moments are quite useful as I can get the sledge hammer and go smash to my hearts content and hubby is actually quite happy as it means he does not have to lift heavy bits around coz I pulverise them.0 -
Katy, it looks like you're doing all the right things to me!
Very strange about the breast feeding group, though!
Have you got an NCT group near you? I found them invaluable, especially with my second, as I was on my own by then, so got loads of support with all aspects! Had a lovely postnatal supporter, who was just a mum who'd had a baby in the last couple of years, giving support and friendship!
Two years later I became one myself, to a new mum! I stayed a member for several years after.
Flybaby.... O, wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
O brave new fort,
That has such people in't!

Flybaby, you conjure up such pictures!
Anyway, one of the things that was stressing me out yesterday seems to have abated for the moment.I hadn't realised how much it was affecting me until it went! Moral:- Always trust your gut feelings!
Plus my weight had dropped a pound this morning, so my lapse yesterday didn't have a marked effect. Phew!(I just lurve spiders!)

Good morning all! A normal sleep pattern has returned! Ok, so I cheated and woke up at 3am ready to the start the day so took an anti-psychotic to knock me out again immediately but nevermind that, I am back on schedule!
Hello Indie Kid! So glad to hear about baby but sorry things have been hard for you.
Oh dear, Ginger. I hope that your hair has settle this morning. I died mine for years until I got psoriasis, now it's impossible. Two months ago I noticed my first two grey hairs which I was mortified at! The one good gene my mother had was that her hair was still naturally dark brown at 61, not a single grey hair. Just my luck that I inherited all the bad genes and missed the good one!
That is so good to know Katy and what a difference you must have made! I would have loved to have been placed somewhere specialised in mental health as a child, I am so glad that it is offered now.
On that note my bubbly bulldozer should be calling me today. I left her message to check out what happens at the end of the care support and also to ask about mental health facilities for children, she is due to call this morning. Now I just have to brave the phone...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I've no sympathy, WaS!
Only two grey hairs at your age? You might not get many more before you are 61 too! Sounds like you do have that good gene!
Both my parents started to go grey in their twenties, which meant I had no chance! It accelerated a bit more after each birth, too, so I had to start dyeing in my early thirties.
What with inheriting the grey hair gene, the tree-trunk legs gene, the tiny boobs gene, the foodaholic gene, not to mention the ADHD gene (!), I'm shaking my fist at heaven! :rotfl:
On the other hand, I did inherit the nice eyes, strong thick hair and good skin gene, so I'm not a complete Quasimodo! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)

Hahahaha! But there were two hairs, TWO! I had never seen a grey hair on my head before so was horrified! I am hoping it will take years before it noticeable because dying it is out of the question. Feel free to laugh but I got incredibly depressed and felt ancient! WaSp found it hilarious, he has had grey hair for years but being darkish blonde his don't really show, lucky so and so. I have dark brown/reddish hair so am not so lucky. Frequent grey hair checks are now part of my daily routine!
Something odd happened with the appearance genes in my family as it was. Both of my parents had such straight, dark brown hair it was nearly black and very dark brown eyes as did their parents and siblings. I was born with light grey eyes plus at birth my hair was thick black curls. They all fell out and I developed straight, blonde hair which went into reddish brown waves by the time I was 16. They were also quite olive skinned and I am as white as a ghost. I have the high cheekbones inherited from my dad's side of the family but other than that I look nothing like them.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Hahahahaha! That is exactly what I did! I yanked them out immediately and stuck them under WaSp's nose and said "Look! They're grey!!!!" He may have fallen about laughing and faked staring at my head with a puzzled expression for the next week.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

No sympathy at all WaS. I started going grey at 19. My hair is dyed but from the roots, if I let it grow out it would be salt n pepper now. I'm 35 !!!!!!!
I also got the genes for good strong childbearing hips, slow metabolism, small jaw, early 20s weight gain (it's happened to us all), short-sightedness (cheers dad) and height. I also got pretty blue eyes and long eyelashes, good legs and decent boobs so it's not all bad. But I'd love to be little and delicate, rather than tall and robust. I'm Amazonian at best. At worst, designed for being put to work in an Irish tattie field and popping out young'un's.
Ginger, I've used that stuff and it turned me patchy ginger. I dyed it immediately as I could not walk around looking like I'd dipped my hair in irn-Bru. Be careful, it makes the dye take darker.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I started going grey in my teens due to hypothyroidism...thankfully it's all grown in two big streaks like Rogue from X-Men!
I let the side down a bit yesterday too - ate some leftovers before cheer practise and felt HORRIBLY sick after it - so much pain too! So I couldn't do my zombie run
Going to catch up today as I feel lots better though.
EDIT: Code, I feel your pain except I'd kill for a bit of height - my LARP nickname is Battlecube! I'm short and robust, haha!

Aw, glad you feel better HBS.
Now, grey streaks can look good as if they are meant to be there! I really like hair when it turns white, I could happily settle for long, white hair if mine chooses to do that.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
