Oh and I'm wearing earrings today that had the plastic bits on the back... and just popped them off! Totally mindblowing! :rotfl:

The black cherry colour sounds really nice. :) For my next hair dye, I'm going for something similar, a medium burgundy. I always used to dye it some sort of red before I started with the dark brown and I kinda miss it.

My normal hair colour is auburn, so I'm kinda lucky that I don't get too many (I still get the odd one) grey hairs. My Mam is a proper red head, and even in her seventies she's still got a good colour and is always chuffed when the hairdressers tell her that! When she was a teenager a school teacher called her out in class and told her she had some grey hairs and that she'd be totally grey by the time she was 21....ha! Who's laughing now! :rotfl:

When I was about 16/17, before I started dying my hair, the auburn was a really lovely colour, quite red (doesn't seem to go back to that now :( ), and I was on the bus one day and a young kid shouts out "Look Mam, it's Ginger Spice" :rotfl:

You should have done the 'Fe Fy Fo Fum' Code! :p

height wise I'm 5'6, D is about 5'8, so if I wear heels, I'm taller than him!

I'm rather short, which makes trouser shopping difficult. Kids trousers don't fit, because apparently, 13 year old girls don't have hips. Ladies trousers in general, are far too long.

It also means I get ID'd for absolutely everything age related.

    Thanks dad!

I admit I keep getting the urge to dip dye half of my hair purple. As long as it isn't dye against my scalp I can get away with it, although my hair is very dry naturally so I need to be careful. I do have bright pink hair extensions and have been known to pop one in when I go out. WaSp cringes because they are such a bright pink but I have never wanted plain hair and started dying it at 13. I still use black eyeliner to give myself cats eyes, too. Once a goth...

I got ID'ed in Florida when I was 31, Indie. I fell over myself thanking the two guys on the cigarette counter who both said they thought I was around 19/20. They absolutely made my day.

I also got the youthful looks from my Dad, and always got ID'd. It was a pain at the time, but as you get older, it's great and you start to miss it when it doesn't happen as much anymore. :p

I remember getting ID'd a few years ago for to buy a scratch card, at the time I was fuming, as that could have been a winner! :D

WaS, you should get some of that spray in hair colour/hair chalk and have a trail run with the purple!

I had my hair dyed yesterday at the hairdressers and nearly fainted as it was that warm!
I have s lot of grey so get it dyed brown and blonde streaks to mix in the grey.
I've been banned from ever doing red again as it has to grow out rather than dye out and I don't have the patience.

    I love the rainbow hair!!

I appear to have gone on strike today and am refusing to get out of bed. Silly thing is, I am really bored but just have no motivation to get up and do anything. I need a kick up the bum!

I turned 26 in April. I think I've not been ID'd once. I was talking to a friend of mine about something and the subject of my age came up. He asked "and do you mind me asking how you are? My wife asked me and I told her I thought you were 22".

I briefly dated someone in 2013 when I was 24. He thought (he said there and said this!) I was 27...

  • That's a good idea Georgie! Fortunately hair that is coloured halfway up is currently trendy so I could probably get away with it.

Oh wow! I love that, code! That is so pretty! As weird as it sounds the more unatural I look the safer I feel, it was why being a goth fitted me so well. I could hide under hair dye, heavy make up and weird clothes. I would love my hair to be like that photo!

The best hair I ever had was 20 years ago when I went to expensive salon in London. It was a one off because it cost a fortune but they did a black base, with bright red, purple and blonde streaks and cut it using a razor, so it was long but all floaty. They also cut it into my cheekbones so it framed my face. It was such a good cut that it held it's shape for ages afterwards.

I cut my own hair now and Wasp trims the bits I miss because I am embarrassed to have it cut by anyone professional due to the psoriasis. It's silly because I am sure that people with it on their scalp get their hair cut all of the time but I am embarrassed in case they think I have the lurgie!

Those are extensions. I've thought about buying them but I'm not sure I can justify the expense just to have pretty hair. Also the wee mean voice in my head says I'm too old for them and will look like mutton.

I am terrified of hairdressers so cut and dye my own hair.
