I feel enormously heartened that bubbly bulldozer has such high aspirations for their charges today.

I guess it is much harder for therapy and education to be effective if one is not living in a safe environment to begin with.

ETA: Big hugs from us too, mellymoo

That was her main point, whitewing. That I couldn't be helped effectively whilst still within an abusive environment and that once it was known I should never have been returned there. There was also nowhere to put me other than in the care home that I have mentioned that wasn't at all suitable to my needs. They were clear that fostering was out of the question so there was little alternative. Perhaps she is correct but I certainly wasn't left to deal with it alone and at the time the support exceeded my expectations and still does. She is very dedicated to her job and I am sure that if she works with children she is willing to do anything to help them.

Argh! How can they evict you, Melly? You haven't done anything wrong?

  • Have another hug, Melly. Yes do consult a solicitor, it is ridiculous for them to try to evict you. Hang in there.

    mellymoo,

If they are evicting you, is there a silver lining? I thought (from another thread that I skimmed through that I think was yours) that you are having trouble with noisy neighbours?

Is the eviction the quickest way perhaps of sorting this out?

Or have I misunderstood the situation completely?

It beggars belief that you are being made ill by neighbours who should never have been there in the first place and now they want to evict you!!!!!!

What grounds could they possibly have?

    I've no sympathy, WaS! :D

Only two grey hairs at your age? You might not get many more before you are 61 too! Sounds like you do have that good gene!

Both my parents started to go grey in their twenties, which meant I had no chance! It accelerated a bit more after each birth, too, so I had to start dyeing in my early thirties.

What with inheriting the grey hair gene, the tree-trunk legs gene, the tiny boobs gene, the foodaholic gene, not to mention the ADHD gene (!), I'm shaking my fist at heaven! :rotfl:
On the other hand, I did inherit the nice eyes, strong thick hair and good skin gene, so I'm not a complete Quasimodo! :rotfl:

We must be sisters! I have exactly the same genes it is uncanny:rotfl:
