I would really like to believe that it's not me. But I do think it is. As I get let down a lot. I can't believe that there are that many people out there that are like that.

Only interested in myself now. My goals are to get better and loose at least 3 stone in weight. Which is going to mean a massive change in the way I deal with food and exercise and my mood. Get the house and garden finished.

I know it a long way away. But I can see another crappy xmas coming. like the last couple of years don't think I will bother and forget about it.

Again not angry, annoyed, just disappointed. And just have to be realistic.

It's not you....it's them, without a doubt. I bet if they've done it to one woman then they've done the same to many more before you and will after you. They either are a genuine bloke who has just got cold feet, or someone who just enjoys the thrill of the chase but chickens out when it actually comes to meeting.

When I read what he wrote the other day (can't remember what he said exactly) and everyone was saying 'ah he sounds sweet', I thought 'that sounds abit smarmy' but didn't want to say anything incase people thought I was a right b*tch'. I guess I'm just quite cynical.

But Katy is right, like anywhere you look, there are good guys and bad guys, and your good guy will be out there somewhere! Glad you found your good guy Katy!

My eye is swollen, I look like I've been punched! :eek:

It started last night but has gone down a bit on top, but is now more puffy underneath....I don't know what's going on? I reckon it's something to do with my urticaria? I usually just get it on my arms, legs and torso, I take an antihistamine and eventually it goes down, but very occassionally my lips or eyes swell up and then go down after a tablet, but this time I've taken two and it's still up....I look like the elephant man at the moment!

As I said going to forget everyone else and just think about myself. its not worth the hassle or bother dealing with other people. They just mess you about, let you down.

I need to think about getting up as going out for coffee with my husband at 10 this morning. The only person I trust not to hurt me.

From what you've said about your ex, I'd take the 'mental' comment with a pinch of salt. Besides, his opinion doesn't matter one little bit.

I'm feeling abit crap about my weight too. I'm still within a healthy BMI apparently, but it doesn't feel right for me, and ideally I'd like to lose about a stone I think. I've cut out bread, biscuits, cakes etc and still lost nothing....:mad: This week, I'm starting evening walks up again!

Talking of walks, you do a lot of them, so that 4lb you've put on could be muscle and not fat.

You're not mental, you're different. Everyone on here is different. If you like, alternative!
As a result, it's difficult finding like-minded people. Threads like this one help, as people on similar wavelengths gravitate to it, but in RL it's a lot harder!
We assume other people think like us, and put our trust in them, and then find they don't think like us!

I'm intrigued by online dating sites, though! Wish I had the courage to have a go!

I've been reading a weekly column in the paper by a woman in her fifties who taken up on line dating with all its highs and lows.
It's not you Calley. It really isn't. There are nice people out there, but there are also people who mess you around, who think it's ok to pass judgement after one meeting, and who whatever they say don't want a normal relationship. I'm with Pyxis, good luck to those willing to give it a go, me, not a hope in hell. Scares the life out of me.

Any way some good news my smear results came back normal. Letter arrived this morning. Roll on 2018 :rotfl:

Not listened to my hypnosis for a couple of days and I can tell. I think the knock with my dad and the internet dating guy yesterday has not helped. just want to curl up and cry.

I find it easier being shy and not that out going to use internet dating sites.

It means you can chat and get to know a bit about them before you meet. If you want to meet them at all.

I always meet in public place like a pub so its safe.

I think its easier as you know a bit about them before you get to see them in RL.
