What gorgeous doggie, I want a cuddle! He has the kindest eyes!

Calley, read some online dating stories, you will see that your experiences aren't unusual. It often takes a while to find someone matched to you. Never, ever think you are mental! I am mad as a box of frogs and have been with WaSp for 26 years next month! If I can find someone who puts up with me anyone can.

You have so much to offer, we can see it here clearly. You are a good person who deserves love and friendship, I really admire you.

I wish I could believe it. as I said I have little confidence and it just gets worst every time I get knocked.

I was doing really well and this and my dad have just knocked me back. I do get lonely and bored and that is no reason to get in to a relationship.

My ex said that I was loving and attentive and caring. but looked were it got me in a massive mess.

    Yours

    Calley

Some people's opinions are worth taking on board, others are not. Your dad's should possibly be in the "not" category at the moment, given the history.

Little sod does have a gleam in his eye that looks familiar. Him and Gitdog must be spiritual twins. Or something.
On the days I am working from home, Gitdog is good as gold - curls up on my feet and sleeps. On a day off when I decamp to the sitting room with a newspaper he's an attention seeking little horror. How's LS now on the occupying himself front?

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • You ARE loving, attentive and caring, Calley! That shines through in your posts. As you say, your ex has lots of problems, far, far more than you do. It didn't work with him because of HIM not you.

You have so much to offer, look at how caring you are towards everyone here? You have a great sense of humour as well! You are intelligent, funny, loving, there is nothing not to like! I know you can't see this in yourself, I have had awful depression in my past where I thought I was no better than something on the bottom of someone's shoe but depression lies. It distorts the reality of how you perceive yourself and how others perceive you. Trust us Calley, you have so much to offer, you are so worthwhile.

I love him! What a beautiful little sod you have!

Calley, we often put our trust in someone in the hope it enriches our lives. Sometimes we get it wrong but most of the time it is worth trying and if nothing else we learn from it. Value yourself and try like so many of us to be kind to yourself, think about your good points and wrk on the things you perceive need a bit of attention. I cling to the hope there is someone out there who will 'get' and value me. In the meantime I am trying to reflect, learn and understand myself better :-)
