A portion of pasta used to be 75g in our house, but we discovered that it is too much and now have about 50g each.
What a perfect place for Fred WaS, in amongst the house plants! I love that WaSp named him, and just know that he'll be happy in his new home!Glad he travelled safely! I wonder what his middle name will be?
Sorry you've had a bad day elsienI don't know any gnome jokes, but following on with the fruit theme, here is another joke for you.
What did the green grape say to the purple grape? "Breathe you idiot breathe!" It's he only joke I can ever remember! :rotfl:
Calley, I found loads of decorating stuff in the "cupboard of doom" last week. I was especially pleased to have finally found the tile paint that I thought I had thrown out.So that's a job for me, to paint the bathroom tiles.
Katy, it's hard not to get annoyed sometimes if you think someone is being treated pretty shabbily, and it's sad when they don't see it for themselves. I'm sure they will sooner or later though.0 -

Good luck with that. If I remember when we did it. The stuff stunk to high heaven and we had runs in it LOL!!!

I find that doing that, the pasta tastes quite different and not as nice as fresh.
I do reheat and eat up left over pasta, but it's never as nice. I much prefer fresh.
God knows what my portions weigh; I usually just lob it into the pan. If there is too much, as I said, I'll reheat it for another meal.I usually manage to eat it all, though! :eek:

Well, you don't have to have this, obviously, but I've cobbled together two Latin words and come up with:
Undrisus
Fred Undrisus Gnome
Undae = Waves!
Risus = Smiles!
Put the two together, (with a bit of a contraction) and you get the portmanteau name Waves and Smiles in Latin! (Sort of!)
And it's got a masculine type ending!(I just lurve spiders!)

I've done it before and got good results, no runs or anything (when I read that, I wasn't thinking runs in the paint at first, I was thinking my god, the paint did that to you! :eek: :rotfl: ), so hopefully it'll be the same this time.
Ideally I'd like new tiles, but that's a job for another day. The only reason I bought white tile paint is to cover the aqua coloured tiles (just random ones spaced out) that I'd painted to cover the floral ones when we moved in!0 -
Having a very bad mental health day today. Headed for a bulimia relapse if I'm not careful.
Tried on a load of dresses yesterday and none of them fit around my chest and shoulders, and some were too small on my waist.
All of them were in sizes I normally fit into.
I looked fat, lazy, obese, wobbly, sweaty, pasty and absolutely horrible.
I feel worthless.
(If I should penguin any of the above just tell me please, I don't want to upset anyone.)
Sorry for bringing everyone's day down, but I need to vent and can't really cry at my desk at work.

It'll more than likely be the way the dresses are cut nowadays and not your body shape. They'll fit in one place on your body but not another. I'm starting to discover that whilst trying to find a dress for the nieces wedding.
Don't be so hard on yourself, you are not worthless at all.0 -

Hugs or handshakes which ever you prefer.
Be kind and gentle to yourself.
Take care.

Dont worry about the penguin.
Not fat, not worthless at ALL.
Like me you know your heading for a relapse so what if anything can you do to stop it?
PM me if you need anything.

I keep thinking I've posted on here but I haven't!
WaS - that's a wonderful story about the teens you helped through a tough time. So great to see what a difference you've made to their lives! Welcome to Fred the gnome too! :wave:
HBS - please don't get upset about the dresses. I'm sure you looked like none of those things, unfortunately sometimes fashion just doesn't fit everyone - like me! I blinking hated it a couple of years ago when all you could find in the shops were peplum dresses, they just looked awful on me! And nowadays the whole bodycon thing, again, looks just awful on me! It does beat you up when you can't find anything nice in the shops but it's the designers' fault for not being able to flatter any figure other than straight up and down, not yours for having curves!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
