Zip -wire
Dry ski slope?
Animal park?
Falconry centre? Go fly a falcon!
Archery?
Oceanarium?
Tall tower-type thing with a restaurant at the top?
Living museum? (Mines, mills, factories, old streets etc.?)
Stately home?
Go-Kart track?
Butterfly farm?
Ice cream farm?
Local pottery that does tours?
Some fab ideas there. Only thing is where ever I go I will have to drive

Looks like they are not being used in the circus now but it is still not banned.
I know they had the tigers last year when they came here.
Calley, I don't really have any birthday suggestions as I don't celebrate mine, but whatever you do I hope you have a lovely time! I0 -

You can do it, Calley! Leave after the rush hour time, plan your route, leave plenty of time.
If necessary, do GoogleEarth to check things like road lanes and signposts, and where entrances are. So you'll already have seen it before you drive!(I just lurve spiders!)

Welcome to the thread faerielight
Sounds like you've really been through the mill
I can't believe how your phychiatrist can be so abusive yet still be allowed to practice. Is there no where that you can report him to? I can't believe anyone is allowed to have that much power over vunerable people. Also, does your landlord not have a legal responsibility to get your toilet and plumbing fixed? You have rights as a tennant.0 -
Faerie, big hugs if that is ok, and a warm hand squeeze if not. You have been through so much, do you realise how strong you are to have got through all of this? Yes, you are hurting and scarred (anyone would be!) but you are here, you are alive. That takes an incredible amount of strength and I genuinely admire you for that. Have you considered asking your GP to refer you to social services? I have a very determined social worker who is a huge advocate for me, she gets things done! She rarely interferes in my day to day life and we meet maybe once a year unless there's a crisis but she is so useful to have standing by my side.
You have a place where you belong here. No one will ever troll you and we will always try to support you as much as we can. You aren't alone now.
I think we need a happy trained animal story to make up for the bad onesI Has anyone ever had a cat who trained itself to play fetch? I have!
When my first cat was a kitten I dropped a sweet wrapper on the floor by my feet. She ran over as fast as she could grabbed it and to my surprise put it on my lap then sat down by my feet. I couldn't quite believe it so I threw it across the room. She went charging after it and brought it back again! For her whole life her favourite game was fetch (but only using shiny sweet wrappers!), and I had never trained her to do it. We would often be watching tv and suddenly a little head would pop up and a sweet wrapper would appear on our laps. She swapped between WaSp and I so that we took turns playing with her too! I have never had another cat like her.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Some excellent suggestions there Pyxis!
Calley, do you have a sat nav? I find mine invaluable if I'm going somewhere I've never been before. It gives me so much more confidence.0 -
thanks guys.. the insane thing is that after the taping of the psyc, I have not seen him for 5 years, so he is blocking and controlling me and I haven't seen him for half a decade! It's all down to my postcode and I fall under his team.. my mind advocate, gp and I have all requested a change of psyc, were refused under the premise he is the expert.. I
finally was allowed to see a different psyc after 3 years fighting for an assessment for PTSd and he finally relented, the psch was so nice and diagnosed the PTSD, now she has left and all the re referrals go back to the nasty one and his team.. all roads lead back to himMind in my area don't offer support, they just signpost or advocate.. the only place I have access to is a mental health drop in centre, (not the trauma one) which I foind really scary, it's 99% men with scitsfrenia and they always stare and try to chat me up.. I'm not scared of people in general with psychosis, one of my femail friends suffers with it, but men on mass scare me anyway, so I never go there , it's a depressing place really, there's noting to do, just ill men sitting around.. re social workers. I have one who organises my care agency and he is crap with mental health and just says it's not his area, and the mental health social worker is the one who"assessed" me recently and was the one who told me he would make it his quest to block me.
So I think I will have to give up fighting the mental health team with all their powder for mow, and yes, focus on how I'm going to get to hospital for surgery..
I love and appreciate the blanked den so much.. and I do like online hugs tooI was dissacociating and regressing badly 2 nites ago and I was lucky to have my best Male friend come over, he was so good with my scared inner child, he found me sitting on the floor trying to hide and he made us a little blanket dean
he's so busy with lots on his plate so I don't see him often but he is good when my little one comes out..
I love cat stories ! I have 3.. Poppy, Pepper and Pumkin, they are my furr babies and they are so amazingPumkin got attacked but a ginat cat beast last nite and he's been to the vet today but he seems better for an antibiotic jab.. there are so funny and so loving, I can't emagine life without cats
re dragonflies.. I always thought they were faeries when i was young.. It's rare to see them nowadays but I still do think they are magical
Hope everyone is ok and feeling safe and loved this evening... I wish I had dared come in to say hello on here years ago! .. thank you for welcoming me and making me feel safe.. the trolling almost made me leave MSE, but I will stay now, and avoid the Disability and Dosh when I'm vulnerable xMany thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -
Not had a chance to read back, lots of hugs for faerielight - I get dissociation too and this is a safe place.
Will be quiet for a bit, bf's wide had to come over to help me dress n take my meds earlier. Left arm is very weak, something has triggered an old neck injury and there's nerve damage. Went to the hosp (with company), sent bk to my gp for referral. Staying in the spare room at my bf's place. His wife wants to keep an eye on me. I'm in agony, scared, but incredibly lucky:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0
