Faerie lights, have you looked into the NHS complaints system - there is usually advocacy support available if you want to go down that route - who offers it varies according to area.

Dragonette, hope it's something you can get sorted.

  • Aw, gentle hugs avoiding your arm dragonette. I sympathise completely, I have nerve damage in my right arm from a neck injury. It's horrid, isn't it? Daily physio and a heap of painkillers helps keep mine in check, I really hope that they find something to help you. We will be thinking of you.

Katy - I replaced a crap snack today with low fat houmous and raw peppers. I am finding myself really useless in the morning as I am so tired - so I have written myself a list of what to do in what order. sounds stupid but to re-train myself into a routine with basic tasks like wash, teeth, eat, dress etc. I will get up and go in the garden to start building a brick wall no problem - but get up and look after myself.......seem to struggle.

Dragonette - ~~squish~~ thinking of you

One thing I have decided is that I am going to construct myself a "book nook" as I have always wanted a little cubby to curl up in and read my book undisturbed. Not sure on the exact logistics or location yet, but am writing out ideas. Haven't quite told hubby yet, although I am sure he will not be surprised. Anyhoo - it struck me that it is the equivalent of a blanky fort to me.

Whitewing - read your post about little wing - Great to hear she was able to join in and enjoy - you are obviously doing something right so give yourself a gold mommy star! I was very similar as a small child and it still causes me problems now - so definitely a good thing to try and knock on the head for her now. I know that I always associated doing new things with getting "friendly teases" from adults around me etc so I refused to try anything. Is there anything that she wants to try and more importantly is there anything YOU want to try? If she sees you having a go at something a little scary and you "ask for her support in your new adventure" - never know - that might rub off on her with an even more positive effect.

    A pallet shed :rotfl:

Its amazing what people are making with pallets. I would love to make one. I know my ex from next door made one using pallets, It was massive. He said he had a budget of £100 to make it.

I was asked if I wanted it. twice once by him and once by his ex. But there was no way I could have got it in to my garden. And I would never had been able to take it apart and put it back together. So had to decline.

Not sure why but the skin on my fingers are peeling :(

    Oh well never mind.

lol - agree, I recycle pallets all the time and have made pallet chairs in the past. I was thinking more of re-arranging the cupboards and bookcases in the spare room to make a bit of a hidden cubby hole with a comfy seat built into the bottom.

WaS - happy animal training story.............my mom has had robins in her garden always and this year, she has been feeding them suet pellets and mealworms ( their favourites) Not only are they now eating out of her hand, they now insist on being hand fed and will come and sit on the arm of your chair and chirp at you to be fed and the other day, the robin hopped into her living room through the open patio door and up onto her dining room table to chirp at her whilst she was having her breakfast. He was most annoyed that she was eating her breakfast and he was not getting his. Mum takes great pleasure in getting him to fly right past me and I really really do not like birds (not any closer to me than 10mts anyway!)

Had my friend over this afternoon for a cup of tea. Little Sod insisted on giving her a full face snog, and then sneezed in her shoes.

    Happy nearly birthday :bdaycake::bdaycake:

Have been taking meds for a few days and got some encouraging news about family member which suggests I may not need to be in the panic and downward spiral I have been in recently as I might not have to cope on my own with a situation I do not have the strength. training or ability to deal with.

Fingers crossed a safe and supportive environment can be found for everyone's sake.

Did not realise how low I was until I started to feel a little better.

    Thank you.

You are stronger than you think. I was the same. I am not going to say what made me realise that I had hit rock bottom. But I knew I had. And went to the dr's the next day.

I am feeling better and stronger day by day. And I know I will have the odd wobble on the way back to who I am. And I intend to get there by hook or by crook.

So take it day by day.

And on that I will bid everyone a good night.
