    Morning my Lovelies,

Thank you for the birthday wishes.

I feel shattered today. Slept very badly. Oh well never mind.

    Will get up shortly.

Hugs, handshakes, squishes and duvet forts to everyone who needs them today.

I will lob in some more jaffa cakes and oreos.

I do hope all of those that are MIA are well and I am thinking about you.

    Yours

    Calley

I started watching that programming pyxis but had to turn it off as I am home alone today and was starting to get upset and frustrated with peoples stories.
What do you think to Ruby Wax's points? She seemed to be telling it how it really is for a lot of people, but then getting shot down a lot for voicing her opinions. Haven't seen a huge amount of it though so may have got it wrong.

She's doing ok, Katy! Making some very valid points, too!

Hello onomatopoeia! How are you doing?
Hello Pyxis :) if I were to be asked that in my evening class I'd say "così così"

Parents came to stay for a long weekend at the start of the month so I could take them to a sporting event in Cardiff and to see another relative as well, and I still seem to be catching up with myself. They say things like "oh, you don't have to take any time off work while we're here", but that's so completely not true.

Since it's a small house and only has one double room, which I sleep in, I have to give that up. I sleep poorly at the best of times and worse not in my own bed, so have on occasion paid for them to stay in a nearby hotel, but can't afford to do that every time. Result is they go home after a nice few days away and I'm shattered. I love them dearly and know that I'm lucky to still have both of them when their combined age is now well past 150, but I do like getting my house back! Combine that with being ill last week, surely bought on by being over-tired leaving me vulnerable to whatever bug I caught and I'm left wondering what's happened to my July so far. So that's my moan :p.

Evening class restarts at the beginning of August as we've negotiated directly with the teacher for extra lessons outside of term time - she's awesome and inspirational and the reason I went from learning it for holidays to trying to become fluent. That should give me a bit of a kick in the bum, to get me out of the "work - eat - flop in front of the TV / PC - sleep - see no-one except the checkout assistant in Tesco" routine which I have lapsed into again. I feel myself crawling into my shell but breaking out again is so difficult.

I do pop in here to read, but if it's been a few days the volume of posts on this topic is more than I can catch up with!
