Been having this discussion with them for 3 or 4 years pyxis. She's tiny.

She loves Laurs so when she's in season I get her scratching at my front door and jumping up at the windows.

I don't know how she hasn't been caught before to be honest.

Told the housing yesterday let's see if a new housing officer makes any difference

Any takers for a Gitdog? I stupidly left his training treats in a pocket and my best Berghaus jacket now has ventilation holes where it didn't have them before. And he's eaten the plastic bag.
Now he's marding round with his pathetic sorry face which is just making me more cross.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I am looking at puppies now. Not sure I should now after reading that.

Not sure what to go for really.

  • You made the right choice, Calley! I would have chosen dragons, too!

Aw, poor Laurs and poor you, Melly! Sit down and have cat cuddles!

I'll have Gitdog! Pop him on the train, elsien!

I've never had a dog as a puppy, except when I was a kid. It's so when they behave appallingly, I can say "it's not my fault, he was like it when I got him.":D
What size dog are you thinking of? If you're not fussed about breeds, dogs homes have puppies sometimes , and mongrels can be a lot healthier.
Edit - you can get very well behaved dogs with a full history from dogs homes, I'm just a sucker for the fruit loops of the dog world.

    Small to medium sized.

I will need to go back to work at some stage so thought by having a smallish dog I could have a cat flap in the back door and so he/she can go in and out as it pleases. As I have an enclosed back garden.

Not sure a rescue place will let me have due to going back to work. I have never had a dog before. But it will give me something to focus on as I need to look after he/she and take it for a walk twice a day. And keep me company.

Evil mummy won't let him go out to the girlie and he will die if I don't let him.

Froo also getting hacked off with him

Different places have different rules so it's worth looking around - I had a dog when I lived in a flat with no garden because I could show how I'd manage it. It depends on the temperament of the dog as well - some hate being left for any length of time and get bored/stressed/destructive. Gitdog just snores quite happily for a few hours till parent comes to fetch him and drags him out of bed. (Well, he does now - I had to crate him when I first got him as he was so destructive.) I personally wouldn't feel happy leaving a dog for a full days work with just a lunchtime walk, but I have friends whose dogs seem fine with it.

My ex often leaves his dog for up to 11hrs during the day and wonders why he comes home to poo and vomit.

He should have never had the dog in the first place. When he got him he was living with his best friend on a farm and the dogs mother was there too. And someone was always around during the day. Then he fell out with his best mate and moved out.

And that was part of his excuse of not seeing me I got a dog and have to take him for long walk in the evenings. oh well thats something we could have done together what a plank.
