Evening all! I've been in bed for the last two days with the most dramatic diawooooooooooooooooooooooooooowoo :p Seems to be getting better now. So I have cheated a bit today - I did have a cup of coffee with sugar this morning but haven't had anything since, so am going to make today a fast day so I can eat tomorrow. (Monday was a fast day and all I've eaten since are some baby Daim bars, so I feel I really need to eat tomorrow.)

Flybaby, I luuuuuuurve the fact that the fort has had a H & S check!

Might attempt to bath LS tonight, if hubby will lift his furry stinky 45kg bum in to the bath for me.

OK, who else thought that hubby had a furry stinky bum, on first reading ........ :o

torrential rain is making both front and back gutters drip badly onto windowsills - drip, drip, drip - I am noise intolerant at the best of times but on v. little sleep - arghhhhh! And it reminds me that I have to face up to getting quotes to get them fixed and then have people in to do it who probably won't do it properly. Would rather do it myself but the ladder is too heavy to lift on my own.

Snap! (Apart from the bit about doing it myself - me and heights are not a good combination). Right outside my bedroom window, keeping me awake. I've been putting it off because I hate the faffing around finding reliable workmen.
I feel another bargain coming on - I'll do mine if you do yours?

Can I join the club. I have stuff growing in my gutters and it has come un clipped at the front of the house. Sod laws on my side and not next doors.

I booked an appointment for someone to come and quote and they did not turn up no phone call to apologise nothing

Pyxis - thanks for the tips - will do.

My best friend educated me on pay it forward some years ago. Don't think it is new or anything, believe it was a book and a film too.

hmmmmm..........hubby very politely hacked away at his rock solid baked potato, scrapped the burnt bits off his cauliflower cheese and quietly drank lots of water to compensate for his hugely salty gammon.........bless his cotton socks.............I guess its the thought that counts eh?!

I don't have a TV and never watch soaps.

It was when I caught myself watching eastenders that I went !!!!!!. And got rid of the TV that was about 13 yrs ago.

I'm watching the autistic gardener. It's better than I expected. He's gathered a group of people with autism to help him design and plant garden makeovers and he's using their strengths/interests in the different bits of work that need doing whilst also chucking in a bit of education about autism and the traits some people might have. I thought it might be patronising but it isn't. It's slightly emotionally manipulative in places but that's no different to any reality type programme involving members of the public.
